i need confirmation for this but isnt it just for creating an account?
like when you go create an account it asks you for image code verification
not when you log in
:(

Excellent.

I do believe some applause is in order.

This will certainly slow the bots down.

But it's not something that will stop the botting all together.

Of course, how annoying would it be for every time logging in game image?

Remember that even the biggest accomplishments start with the smallest step.

When trying to take down a tree,it takes more then one swing.

im not talking about player bots damit do i have to go over this again?
gold bots dont use the silkroad client they use a program that emulates the client so they dont ever even open the game meaning they wouldnt see the log in page with the image thus making it impossible for them to read it and enter it thus making it impossible for them to log in

but the player bots that use auto login... well that wont come in much use when your game crashes now will it?

Well, according to this....

SRO.net wrote:[Image Code Verification]

- Users will need to verify when the register as a member, and when they log in, through the use of [image code verification].

I would say that image verification would only be applied to website login. Since it says "and when they log in", the verification not only applies to registration, but subsequent logins thereafter. And since it'll be a huge hassle to enter an image code for every client login, i'd assume they mean website login.

I think its only when we log in on the website, as it was in response to all the hackings that happened, and its a good way of reducing the possibility of someone being bruteforced.

If its in game great...if it's not, I'm sure it will be sometime soon as many people have assumed this is what it is, and Crayon who reads these forums A LOT will take note and add it to the very long to-do list.

pretty sure it is website log-in so that you can't be bruteforced with the combination of being blocked for 10 min in game every 3 tries... umm well thats my theory lol.

Well, after reading these posts i came up with the conclusion: people want the cake and eat it too. Do you want joymax to level up your character too? 5 second out of your life to enter the image code and you are complaining. God must turns in his grave right now trying to figure out why he created man for?

Quit with little to no chance of coming back. Will see upon euro. The no interactive party in china part of sro has turned me off from the game big time. That, and the fact that the game is a gold digger.

I agree. :P The loneliness...the dry, boring levels...the fact that you would spend 5x more money than in an P2P game...the parties that DO exists people will kick you out or just ignore you if you want to start conversation >_>
