I play it on my laptop. (

I set everything on high, except for shadow and "draw distance"
Shadow is set on circle
Draw distances are set on 1

Works fine, slightly better if wired than wireless, but it isn't very noticeable except on extremely crowded days. However, if u play on a wide screen laptop, the graphics are stretched horizontally.

If you set it to 1200 x 800, it won't be stretched.

i have one laptop that's the crappiest ever. You can still play sro smoothly on low settings with shadows off and low vision range. I also have wireless which wasnt a problem.
just dont expect any killer graphics if you dont have a *good* laptop.

I can play it on my 600$ compaq, so you should be able to run it fine.

I have a laptop with AMD Turion 64 X2, 1024MB DDR2 system memory, 120GB hard drive, and an integrated ATI Radeon X1100 (128MB shared) graphics card. Silkroad runs wel...... silky smooth at reasonably high settings for me. I set the shadows to circle, draw distances to 3, and reflection to middle; everything else is on high.
As for my internet connection, I use wireless. The reason is that I don't have my own internet connection on my desktop PC; I connect using my friend's wireless connection -yup free internet for me. Sometimes there is some lag, and other times the signal is lost for some reason, but usually all is well.
Cheers
