Alchemy question

I have been successful with lvl 5 alchemy stones 4 times on critical, 3 times on magical attack & 2 times on physical attack.

The critical was reset to 4 on the 1st try but has been reset to 4 again teh 3 times thereafter.

The same with the magical & physical attacks. They reset the first time (to a lower value) and have remained the same each successful attempt.

QUESTION: Do weapons default to a particular % rather than a random number. If so, how can you tell?

I find it hard to believe that this is random, I have had nearly 10 successful stones & in each occassion the result has been identical to the original successful stone.

HELP PLEASE - I'm missing something with Alchemy! :banghead:

Some items are just lucky. Some items are just very unlucky.

ANSWER: No, it's all random.

It was on the same item - it's just unlucky then. Hard to believe that every single stone made the exact same amounts as the first change so must be random according to luck!

Thanks for the explanation.

its not luck. its just how the gameplay is. try alchemy somewhere where it has the least lag. or no lag at all which is perfect.

Good advice. thanks. I didn't even think about lag. I'll work on that principle from now on :D

That's a debatable principle though lol. Plenty of people say that has nothing to do with it.

I think this is the best explanation so far.

There is nothing random about what you have described, and I've seen this exact same phenomena many times in my alchemy experiences as well.

The odds do not support the idea that it is a random "toss of the dice".
