I tried almost a dozen crit stones already (which has costed me several millions) and all but two failed. The "successful" ones didn't do anything either, it just said it went from 4 to 4.

Please tell me there is hope.

I know exactly what you mean. I've used a dozen Crit stones just to amp my blade's crit to a reasonable state.

6 > 4.

4 > 4.

4 > 5.

4 > 8.

I nearly spent 4.7 mil just trying to make it reasonable. I feel your pain and I do find them useless.

Tough luck, all ruby stones do shitty alchemy. Most people don't want to mess with em. It never went to my liking.

that weapon is cursed, there are certain lucky items that don't have prob with alchemy

I did a crit 4 to 9 in one stone
and a crit 5 to 13 in 2 stones...

if u've spend too much already, but nothing's happened, don't pursue>.<

well 9 stones of challenge and back at 2 where i started most failed and 3 or 4 went from 2->2

Took me 13 crit stones to get my crit from 2 to 8... It kept changing between 2 > 4 > 2 > 4 >8

The bow (52+6 clean) cost me 3.7m when I started.. but now.. yeah I did spent the money that you would normally pay for a +6 bow.

Alchemy sucks =/

They can be hit or miss, but i tend to have the worst luck with those stones. On my sos sword i got the mag reinforce up in 3 stones after it reset and the phy dmg up in 3 stones but ive used 8 so far and the crit has been stuk at 4 and every time it would go 4 > 4 or fail.

I used 3 to get the crit on my 72 blade to 10, then the VERY next AR stone reset it back to 1 with assimilation.

6 more stones and its still at 1. Now I'm back grinding in the cave, because takla mobs dont drop shit for tabs, and I'm not pating 3.5 million to watch a challenge stone fail or go 1 -> 1.

It depends.. There is a point if you are str and rely on crits for lvling and pvping, but for int they are useless.

Basically, it all balences on the lucky-ness of the weapon.
With my 52 bow i used countless crit stones and in the end just left it at the failed, and less than starting figure of 4.
On my glavie (I switch for those who dont know) i used one stone which had 5% on it may i add. went from crit 2 to crit 7.

I have been able to find another stone as good or i would try for even better crit.

I paid 1.8 million for that stone, if you can find one as good as that.. BUY IT.

0% is better, but in all my days of alchemy.. about 7.. i have only ever been able to make 1 with 0%, a few with 5% and loads with 10% 20% and 30%

WTF are you talking about O.o...you're saying that stones (like crit stones) are able to get 5 or even 0% assimilation on it I dont believe that lol =)

I used about 9 stones for my lvl 52+3 sos spear trying to up the mag attack. it always failed or succeeded from 0% -> 0%..Now I got 41% on it and I think thats ok =)

Never seen a 0% stone other than lucky/astral/immortal, but I have seen 5% other stones come from breaking down items . .

Thats how i got a couple of my 5% ones and a 0% one i made by.. no wait that came from breaking down a lvl 68 bow

They're not all bad...

My bow's crit for example... 4 -> 12

If you keep trying, I think it will come out to what you want in the end

i don't even want to mess around with mine~ alchemy hates me waay too much..
