I read the cartoon guide about an hour ago, and found it quite helpful. Um, i guess ill ask a question or two...
I hear when youre level 20 you can be a hunter, theif, or merchant; How does this work?
[edit] Also, what is the best server to be playing on?

a trader summons a vehicle (horse or camel) and when that is done you need to purchase certain kinds of items to put in your animal..you travel to the other town and sell them to make profit
the hunter helps this trader by killing the thiefs that are trying to take the 'loot'
and a thief tries to steal the 'loot' and sell it to the thief master or something like that!
whenever you sucessfully do one of these jobs you gain job experience and you lvl up
i do beleive the highest is lvl4

There's no best server lol only difference between them is there age.
Yea, Once you get to level 20, you will be able to put on job suits.
If you put on a thief suit, your job is to rob traders and take there goods, to make profit.
If you put on a hunter flag, your job is too kill thieves and help the traders,
if you put a trader flag on your job is to trade merchandise from market to market, (Jangan,Donwhang, hotan) but on your way to each town, NPC thieves spawn that you have to fight off. and there is a risk of running into player thieves.
To get a thief suit, you can eather get them from someone thats selling in a stall but people over price them, you have to go to "Bandit town" and get one, they are 10,000.
Hunter flags you can get at a hunter guild ( there's one in each town)
And for a trader flag you can get them at the specilites shop.

If you were a trader, why wouldnt you just put the items in your inventory?
Also, I see people walking around in ninja outfits, where could I get one, and how much do they cost?

You only can carry the merchandise on a camel/horse/bull.
lol the ninja suits are the thief suits, there 10,000 gold and you get them in "bandit town" Its not on the map tho, you have to talk to whats her face.......SOMEONE SPOT ME WHATS HER NAME LMAO!
Anyway she's in town in jangan in the alleys

More Questions...
What is the "safest" Class and Build to use, if i just want to explore the game and its features?
Are there "rare" armor sets in this game? (like armor that gives special attributes)
What are the most common mistakes new players make? (so i dont make 'em)

There's no safest, Its just what you want your fighting style to be and what would be the msot fun for you ( i think lol everyone has there own opinon)
Any armor you have can give special attributes like str increase and magic increase, sometimes you may get them as a drop, or you can add them yourself useing alchemy.
Most common "mistake" is i think when they just want to level up fast and later on they get stuck without any skillpoints and have to open up a gap...It gets ugly lol

1. Explore the game and features its a tradeoff.
Pure str fire/light blade has most hp and very good defense, with good speed too. Pure int fire/light sword + shield or spear lvls the fastest, allowing you to see more monsters since u train faster. Pure str glaive and bow come in between, giving one good lvling speed and a lot of hp. Hybrids are also very good builds for this.
2. "Rare" armor sets and weapons-- I think you mean the seal items. You can get SealOfStar (rough equivalent of +5 / +6-- much better defence), SealOfMoon (roughly +10 / +11 equivalent), or SealOfSun (Roughly +15 / +16 equivalent) armor and weapons. You can also get blue stats on armors and weapons, to help your chars int or str, or also improve the weapon in some other ways.
3.--When someone called "Thief" randomly attacks you, if the name is red when you select it RUN AWAY. IT IS NOT A PLAYER BUT A MONSTER SPAWNED BY A TRADER
---Dont be scammed easily by selling Seal items at cheap prices.
--- Read the characters & skills stickied guides, especially the one written by Sin, for that has a lot of links.
Hope this helped.

+1
Go pure Str - increase str stats only (it increases your hp, attack rating, critical hit and physical defense. Since most of the monster is base on physical malee combat. make sure you use garment if you're a pure str.
Fire - Fire gives x-tra damage, by means, extra stronger. since glaive is rated the best weapon in physical damage/ whatelse with an imbue with fire on it. (btw, magic is stronger than phsical dmg)
few gears you have to put your eyes on>>
- pluses ++, basically, it's stronger than npc's stuff/ or blues(item which are blues in color) with +int and str. once i got a +6 armor lvl 20 for 16k.
- elixir!! plz be aware of the market price for those stuff, (if you wanna sell em)
-tablets of int and str!! those are valueble tablets that can be sell up high.
-alchemy item, buy a void rondo at grocery jinjin and fuse alchemy item into elements. you can sell elements. any stuff that is dropped, loot them. dont waste.
you might be thinking of building of second character when you reach 30++..so i suggest you to go for bow or nuker (pure int).
thats all i wanna say...

I would highly suggest you don't come to Greece. If you don't mind what server you play on, I would suggest you play on the newest server, which is sparta I think.
