Seriously, I know its been driven into the ground, but its just downright pathetic. I have attemped 12 trades, I have been popped on 8 of those. Its freaking lvl 50 thiefs. Honestly, if you do this you are pathetic and need to grow some balls and attack a real trade instead of me, who does it maybe once a week. Don't tell me to lvl up or whatever blah blah. Unless I bot, I'm going as fast as I can. And no, I'm not getting a hunter, the whole point of 1* is so I don't need one...

Well the job of the thief is to steal trade run goods, no matter the way they do it. So i suggest you either find a better route or just go level.

Personally im sick of people that complain about how theyre sick of people 1* popping. When i posted on the main site sro it seems like every topic in the triangular conflict was about 1* popping with the same points "Thiefs need to grow balls" "Thiefs need to fight those their own lvl" etc etc. Heres the thing, if your sick of getting popped then dont trade. There are other ways to make money in sro that dont involve trading plus, as i mentioned plenty of times before, Joymax allows 1* popping (though i know theyre gonna fix it w/ an update)

A: Level more, then do a trade or get a m8 to help you. ( Guild )

Its not so much that there are poppers, that fact doesn't bother me. But 8 out of 12 times? Thats a little into stupid territory. I don't need the money, I don't need the trade skill, I just want a little change of pace for a few minutes, but I can't even get that. I know thieves are there to steal, and I don't mind, but I'm not exactly a heavy trader. I run once to jangan, maybe once a week, if that often. Its not too much to ask to be successful at least the majority of the times.

steps:
1*first happy newbie goes trading gets popped 9/10 times
2*goes whining on forums
3*receives no sympathy and lots of flames
4*then decide ..... this imma lvl
5*2weeks no sleep gets high lvl
6*then goes trading doesnt get popped
7*dun make alot of money and is bored
8*think their all strong does multi stars
9*random max lvls come own u
10*then lvls to max lvl
11*decides no need 4 money anymore doesnt do trade
12*starts 1* popping

and if ya made max lvl at step 9 u still get owned by sos peepz.

seriously i once was total anti thief until one day i tried it and was sucessful!

maybe if some actually did somthing higher then a 1* for once thieves wouldnt go on popping sprees because they would actually have targets!

maybe because there are no multi stars? and people are too scared to do them? this being on the thief side.

but i do not like 1* poppers. hell, if i saw a lower trade run being popped, i'd destroy my transport and kill the thief (and i have a few times).

it's not really fair, but i guess it's the loop hole from being not able to attack 1* traders.

I'm lvl 21 and I never get 1* popped.

Except for the first time I traded with my other friend and we all got killed

i urge every1 to buy just 1, the cheapest good, from the merchant master and walk away, make the 1* popper waste his time

Well, as me and psychosmurf are in the same guild.. Today we did a 2* jangan to hotan.

Saw a lvl 75 theif along the way.. Luckily hes my friend so he only killed the other trader that was tagging along with us.

back when i played i took union out for trade everyday without charge and only 10k per person when i pay for guild lvl they all load 5*

lmao heres a tip on being a d***- say that you will be a hunter for someones trade, make sure its a multi star and have them pay you half the amount at the begining. then you throw on a theif suit and pwn em

heres another tip:
say to a hunter you'll pay them at the end of the run. Then, once you reach the small-eyed ghosts, pretend you are having a lag spike and log out.

Ontopic: Yesterday I (I am lvl 43) guarded a lvl 52 trader doing a 1 star and a lvl 40 trader doing a 2 star (without my hunter suit on of course, since it was a random impulse to guard them while I was grinding ). The lvl 52 killed his npcs sometimes when I was protecting the other one but we all got there safely...not too hard to do 2 stars, though I've only done 1 trade run on this char and it was a 5 star.

1 Star popping is annoying, but it's also fun. If you manage your gold wisely, you shouldn't need to do a trade run to have pot money. It's part of the game... if I don't 1* pop, guess what? Everyone else will still do it... so I might as well have fun too.


As for nobody doing more than 1 stars: Hop on Troy a couple times a week. Our union is always doing multistars. We don't advertise our runs and make it obvious for the thief unions, but we normally have a caravan of 2-5 transports with 3 to 5 stars on board. Our success rate? About 90% It was tougher before the cap raise, because all the level 70's would job during the day, but since they're all out grinding/botting... it really makes it easy for our 70+ to do a successful Hotan -> DW -> Jang run.



Just don't try to thief us all by yourself.

Exactly they attack 1* because thats all that is out there

Although I am totally against 1* popping (please... sometimes new players spent all their money on a 1* trade and you popped it...), I don't really dislike the thieves who are doing it. Because that is the only way for them to gain money! If some pros could just do more * trade runs, all the problems of 1* popping may not exist.

Whenever i'm dressed as a thief,and wait in the hills for a big fat juicy trader,the only ones i see are always a one star trade.

The only way for a thief to make a decent profit,is by one star poppin,now if there were traders around with more stars...the one star popping would stop.

But who's that stupid?

Just find another route or have a friend who doesn't wear a job suit "scout" the area before you go in.

This excuse is about as old as the "I'm sick of 1* poppers" complaints. There are plenty of multi star traders. True there could be more, but they are just better at hiding than people that just load a 1 star and follow the main path to the next town.

People will always find a way to pop, even after the update. I don't pop personally, and I even help protect traders from poppers WHILE I'm thieving, but I don't whine about it.

I do not like It neither pop on low lvl´s or on my friends who Is not so high ..If the dont have mutch gold and the want collect little gold after come someone and desroy It. I dont think is nice:x

So i think is right to him to complaine ..

OMG SO TRUE

Only thing.... at 52 when 60 cap, I was doing 2* trade only. But, I also knew almost all the regular tiefs... so I didn't get robbed. Just sit and chat periodically when I bump into them.
