Just got an email from SilkRoad, however it directs you to a page to input all your personal information for your account, but it doesn't have silkroad.net or even the kr extention....

Anyone know about it?

I haven't played silkroad in about 3 months, and I had not ever heard of them needing to "confirm" my account before

you where kinda asking for smart comments, its fairly obvious that its someone hacking you, sro would have sent a prior email announcing the need to confirm details beforehand

...if it were obvious, tat wouldn't have asked. just because you would have reacted in a certain way doesn't mean others are wrong for not doing so, nor does it make you better than them in any way. i really really really wish i could just smack most of you around sometimes.

And you all get such fishing emails because you guys are stupid enough to leave your email addresses on forums like these.

No, Joymax would never need to send an email (or communicate with you in any way) in order to confirm account details. The GMs at Joymax can do anything they want with your account without knowing your username and password, much like a Windows Domain Administrator can access your account on a Windows Active Directory Domain without knowing your password... or a Unix admin can access other users' accounts without their password.

So, if you get a message asking for account details, it IS a scam.
