Depend. As long as the person has a good personality, always help other ppl. Like GMs, they "cheat" to have lvl 90 account, but they dont do anything harmful to me.

Cheating is not the way to play.
If you dont have time to play doesnt mean that its ok for you to bot.

It ruins the economy and disrupts game play in ohhhhh so many ways.eliminate the BOTS and you eliminate most of the LAG, you will LOG ON easier, PRICES will drop on items, and alot of the KSing will go away.did I miss anything?

agreed. I am not against people not wanting to grind, but if you dont want to grind... then why play this game? I just dont know...everyone knows this game is mostly grinding (and if you dont know you will learn by the time you figure out if you like the game or not) So if you dont want to grind so much you dont need to cheat... just play a different game.

I am anti-bot simply because i believe that if you are going to play the game, then you should PLAY the game... having a program run around and kill stuff for you so you can level and pvp is just not fair to others.

I mean, i have been level 52 for over a week now because i am tired of grinding, GT is over, etc etc, but that doesnt mean im going out to get some bot cards... no, im going to take a break from grinding, pvp for a bit, see how strong i am now, then go back on a new GT and start grinding again. Thats the way to play the game.

theres 2 types of bots on silkroad

1. player bots, these mainly only have 1 character that grinds for them, i dont have much of a problem with these apart from the Ksing nuke botters

2. gold farmers, these can have more than 1 character running on 1 computer at anytime, these are the ones i hate, they take up alot of space and just ruin the economy. FFS 15m for a sos 32 spear? WTF! and these are the ones Joymax aremoslty banning at the moment.

Not to mention how much botting costs -.-

I know u guys are very racist about bot. But who said that the person who control the bot didnt play? and he only bot when he sleeps, goes to school? And after school he will play with his own hands?

Note that Silkroad is not only a game that u have only grinding, but it's also a place to meet friends, adventure, discover the fun of the game... that's what a game deserve to be mean.

If u know only grind and lvl up, I think u are a soulless humain-bot who knows only to grind.

Yes, the srobot's community use bot to gain money, players use bot to gain gold and sell for real money => yet there still players buy too.

Depend on what kind of but u judge. Everyone knows that lilazianboyz is a ccfer, botter; but when he global that he will give away his SOX stuff and gold, mostly all ppl in the server jump into him like a hungry monkey . And i know some of u in this forum dislike bot, but though say thanks to lilazianboyz who is a botter.

Get a grip of yourself son if people are too lazy to get themselfs to a high level then they shouldnt be a high level its as simple as that.

even though a botter is nice, you should still hate them. the legit players are the ones the botters are cheating on. while you slave away hours in front of your computer grinding, they're at a movie or sleeping comfortably on the couch down stairs. there shouldnt be any possible way a legit should like or accept a botter. here are some reasons that might be mentioned:

-they miss their sos drop
-they dont pick up alch drops
-str bots are easy to ks
-you have a slight chance to get their gear if you can get them to murder you

notice how all of those are selfish reasons. some of the people that fall in these categories, reduce themselves to falling in line at the lilazianboiz give away. botting never brings anything good to any game. its sad to see that most of the sro community chooses to bot.

oh and comparing bots with gm's is way off.

1)gm's aren't allowed to pvp/kick your ass.
2)most already hate the gm's for not banning bots.

if sro was about adventure or all that good stuff you just said, then we should all be allowed to bot. hmm, now what kind of game would that make out of silkroad? the crappy one it is now.

im pretty sure most grinders still have souls, its just they like to grind more....
and about the silk thing....no make no sense
just because someone has a super pc doesnt mean he 'cheats' on the game when i only have a laptop, with shitty graphics....

I will take some of the nice botters over the assholes / scammers who don't bot any day.

nuclear... unfortunately there is no way to justify botting. ive talked to a handful of botters while i played silkroad. a lot of my friends turned into botters when isrobot just came out like kendy_little, quynhnhi, spliff, twiggy, etc etc. ive talked with them over and over, tried to get them out of it, because there really is no excuse for botting. you have homework? i have homework too. you have a life? so do i and the rest of the legit players out there. you don't have a credit card? how the hell did you buy the bot ><. people who dont have credit cards for silk should ask their parents(assuming that their minors), and if they say no, hey its not "unjust" its parenting. we've all been through it.

a souless person who grinds day and night its not a bot, lol, but a robot. in my opinion THEY DESERVE to be almighty(in a game anyway). they wasted their life in front of their computer, hell they should get something for it. what did the botters do?

Of course there is no way to justify botting. What i care about is the personality. Yet, legit players can be worst than a bot, who threat other person like garbage...

The only answer of why ppl hate bot is that humain is selfish. Ppl is afraid that someone else (especially botter) is stronger than him, and ppl always look at bad things of a bot.

also the literal meaning of the word robot isnt used in every-day silkroad. it is used as a metaphor describing the habits and behavior of a person when they are grinding, while the word bot in sro is used as its denotation implies.

i understand how your neutral about it, i used to be. which is why i was able to keep my so called botter friends(and not get killed when in opposite job suits). i hope you realize that if your legit, whether or not your neutral about botting, your going to hate bots sooner or later. and if you dont hate them, its because you've already joined their ranks. when you grind billions of hours, and realized they grinded a significantly less amount, hehe, you'll hate them.

Main reason why i dislike botters is because, from what i seen, they can destroy guilds and possibly even unions and turn people that u were friends w/ one day into ur biggest enemy all because 1 person decided to cheat his way through the game.

The answer to that question is NO, and not only no, but BIG NO.

The reason botters bot is one of these two things...1) they are sadly addicted to the game, but hate grinding.(this is when you find a different game) 2) They are sadly addicted to the game but dont know how to play it. (which is really sadly sad.)

i'm sorry, but i fail to see your logic....

The only time you should like a bot is when he gets banned.
