A small while ago i was playing with my second character,which just reached level 29,so i decided to farm on hyungo ghosts.

While i was farming,this unknown guy comes up and starts ks'ing me at every mob i tried to kill.

So i knew by his gear and weapon,that he was several levels above my own character,and he didn't look nor fight like a noob.

So i thought to myself: ''How can i kill that runt,and still keep my hands clean?

So i thought of something pretty neat. (Imo):P

I still had some protectors left in my inventory,and decided to use them against this guy,now i knew that he would never in a million years hit that floating bomb,so i devised this strategy:

The Ks'er was a lightning imbue user,now as we all know,the lightning imbue has a small AOE (Area of effect) which i used to my own advantage,i pressed the n button to sit down,and make my opponent believe that he's won and the spot was his,naturally confident in his ability's...

He attacked a mob and got swarmed,fighting off several ghosts,gunpowders at once.

That was the part where i summoned the protector near him,and offcourse the AOE did what it was meant to do,the bomb got hit by the AOE,it flew towards him,and it took him out instantly.

No more ks'er.

That's pretty slick. And evil.

Lol! man i gotta do that sometimes, it never worked yet :/

Hehe, thats really nice. Although I never really got the protectors to work? It just wont summon the damn thing, whats the trick?

U got to click a guy first, and then spawn.

Since when does AoE hit a protector

hehehe i admire that strategy.

someone tried to do that on me once, but unlucky for her I had "The Iceman Cometh" mode....

Well,first you must have the protector beneath a hotkey,then you select the target,and when you see theire name,press the corresponding button.

AoE does NOT hit the protector. I have tried it countless of times when I was lower level, even tried it on myself where I nuked something right next to it with lightning nuke and it just took the protector as if it wasn't there.

Maybe its different with lightning imbue.

Well i'm sure that the protector took a hit,since it was shaking and then flying towards that Ks'er.

So it must have recieved some damage,and since mobs cannot attack the protector,only 1 option remains..

Well maybe it was/is a bug?

Nevertheless,i thought it to be funny enough to post about it here.

Since when does a Protector fly towards the bot?

It disharges a "nuke" doesn't it?

I've tried this too, espcially around Lightning Nuker-bots and it doesn't work.

Given that the kser was being swarmed by mobs, I'd guess that as soon as he killed one he just quickly clicked the next and accidentally attacked the protector and got himself killed.

Well i knew beforehand that he was beeing occupied enough by those mobs,so when i summoned the protector towards him,it did explode or (Nuke) him. but the Ks'er himself was not that close to the protector(aka normal hitting distance)

And it wasn't a bot..but that's an interresting idea.(try it out i'd say)

You know what? SRO has alot of bugs,maybe this was one to..except this one left me hanging.

iam a lighting nuker ...

and many ppl tried to do this with me ...

my AOE lighting nuke never touched the protector (( which is bigger than the AOE of the imbue ))

also i tried it several times on lighting players (( imbue or nuke ))

and it never work unless they directly hit it ...

Maybe it's not about the size of the imbue,and don't forget that the lightning nuke is something totally different..

If it was a small bug,then it's a bug that only works with pre-setted courses and actions,and a mixup of that data leads to conflicts.
(Therefore using some other strategy would not work)


I don't really think that it would have any effect if someone used the lightning nuke on a mob,close to the protector....but then again those 2 are seperate attacks,each having theire own unique scripts..

Individuality as you would..

But if i tried to do it again,it probably wouldn't work....Pity, i was kinda hoping to use it against botters,and maybe in the caves players could use it to get rid of those annoying Ks'ers,and people that spawn those monster scrolls.

Anyway,i'll try it again sometime,and if it keeps happening,i will post about it...
