It is official this morning that TheEMPIRE is the first SRO based guild to become fully sponsored.

Yeah, TE is now backed by Typefrag. Thanks a ton. Pif will prolly explain exactly what all that means and we'll have a spiffy new site and tags to display later.

And being sponsored.... does that mean, what? You get a free vent server? Woopdy doo. It's not like they are funding something important... you won't ever go to lans, you won't ever spread their name. Kinda dumb in my opinion.. are they buying you silk? I just don't see why any company would do that. Oh well.

GaoYao used his FPS contacts to schmooze ppl, the benefits are in his post and yes, we get to help them advertise.

I dont get it.. How is us getting sponsored somehow mean we arent playing in our free time? Our getting sponsored was an accomplishment not based on how much or how little we play but on the fact that TheEMPIRE is dam good guild and I am the last surviving guild leader of the original Xian guilds. I made the TheEMPIRE the first week the game began and I am still the GL.

It helps that I am a girl.

You may not yet see the benefits of being sponsored and I dont rightly care if you do or not, but my members deserve the props for being one hell of an amazing team and now, I am not the only person on SRO to see it. Someone else is willing to throw money at our stable institution and reap the benefits. I am right proud that Typefrag has chosen us as their first sponsored SRO guild ever.
