Theoretical Solution to One Star Poppers

about couple weeks back, when butt holes kept summoning monsters to screw lower levels over, JoyMax encouraged us to send them the screenshots of such butt holes so they can take actions against them

well, why don't we apply the same concept for one star poppers? i mean they are basically doing the same thing

i got popped today on my third run, and this idea popped into my mind

share your thoughts

Guess what? You appear to be very slow on the planned future update of SRO. 1 Star popping is usually achieved by a theif spawning HIS theives on a trader. but in the far future update, the player theive's spawns would be Hunters thus crippling the current one star popping method for now.

Its not gonna be for a while. I find hunter npcs to be the least interesting point in the update. I just hope when they say they will refund all job items that it will be 100% of their value not their npc value cuz im saving the job items i got from this event.

Having thiefed and popped I can tell you one technique that will piss them off often no end and may even get your goods back. When you are 1* there is alot of space left on the transport. And most people buy in stacks of 10. Switch to stacks of 5 or less. The smallest stacks you can. Doing that if you get popped you will fill up the thiefs transport fast. The "PRO" poppers will drop the goods and reload trying to get the max on their transport before scrolling. But if you have a ton of small stacks they will likely abandon all those stacks in favor of larger ones.

So true. What annoys even more is if u get the 2nd cheapest or cheapest good. When i pop someone and they drop those i almost always dont pick it up.

no because spawns will now only target their owner after the update, or so the rumor is. :( . So many 1-star runs will be about, lvl 70s trying to make fast, no-risk money without even the small risk of being popped by a 80 or 90 LOL .
Edited to make meaning more clear. :)

Once you kill 1* popping it will kill the whole idea of trading. Some one can do 1 stars all day and have no issues about getting popped. So why would any one do over 1 stars. This way there would be no reason to thieve. IT RUINS THE GAME.

Its the game, dont whine, dont cry about it. Thieves are like that and will constantly do it and they wont stop, and dont even cry to Joynax about it , because they wont waste their time like this. I used to get popped by ever thief out there, but I never complained.

EXACTLY :D . Sorry to say this but it is true. The only reason to thieve would be in job wars, and even then you end up getting arrange points. After this update, thieves FTL.

its a bug tho, it is an exploit that players are taking advantage of that leak

When Hitler rose to power there were a lot of people who thought "Its the game, dont whine, dont cry about it." You know who those people were? The French. Are you French, purified? Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, purified?

those guys want a war, give them a war

I think thief AP is unfair. You kill someone near your level and you get like 300 AP, that's 5 hours you'd have to wait before you'd have no AP again. if you rob a multi*, you're killing transport + trader + the hunters if any and it quickly adds up.

Then you got the traders that go out without any goods in their transport and run back into town after you kill it (if they are lucky enough not to die), wasting even more AP.

The way the game seems is thieves aren't supposed to be as active as traders.

Stop jocking South Park now. You dont make any sense at all with that phrase. Its not a bug, when a thief spawns, it attacks the low level caravans first. If you were a low lvl theif trying to pop a high lvl trader, the thief would go after you first, its not a bug, its the game. A game is way more different compared to what Hitler did, he had problems and just wanted to change the world by eliminating all races except the race with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Wrong. NPC thiefs go after traders/hunters first and jobless/thiefs second, as in its NOT by level.

When I pop 1* trades, I usually run up to my light bow npc spawns, whack 'em once and then use the splash damage off myself to kill the transport. Much easier to target a dodging camel/horse that way.
After the job update, I'll still get npc hunters, even tho they wont directly attack the trade, you may still be able to use their splash damage. ^^

its quite simple: 1*popping almost always happens with noobies going with camels... if you go by horse, you won't have that much trouble because they cannot catch up with you (unless you stop every once in a while)

then again... i might be sitting there in my circle, spawning thiefs to just walk around, targetting you as soon as they see you... force ftw!

1 star popping is SUPPORTED by Joymax, go read the help, it says in there that a good thief can steal all while getting no AP, and the only way you can do that is to... you guessed it... POP..

so everyone SHUT THE HELL UP ABOUT POPPING, GO FUCKKIN LEVEL AND THEN TRADE, SHUT UP ABOUT IT FFS. FFS!!!!

A good thief = someone who can pop people with a 5* near his level...not a bunch of poor little level 20's and 30's. Popping is done by high levels not to gain money, but for the selfish purpose of being a jackass.

2 or more stars IMO is fair game.

Like I said...being a jackass :)

Well, that's your decision. As for me, I'm not popping. :P

Btw, a good smart thief would usually kill the 2*+ trader and let the trader's or monsters around kill the transpor..or, scare the 2*+ trader til he kills his own horse/camel to get away.

thats all well and good except for the fact that NO ONE HAS THE BALLZ TO DO MORE THAN A 1 STAR

i would LOVE to rob a 2-5 star, but there are simply none to rob. or so few that for the few hours i thief, i see none.

I'll start doing 3~5* Union trades more often once they get to ban more high level botted characters. (Who are usually the jackasses who pop 1* Traders)
