what does it do? (status error effect??)

Reduces the effects of frostbite/burn/electric shock.
Ups your immunity.

Yes i can but now we are deviating from the point of the thread.

Fire shield reduces not the effect of a status effect, rather the duration it will last on you, either eventually making you close to immune(with jewelry) or allowing you to cure those status effects with cheaper universal pills. The duration it's lowered by is the number the skill says, but it's a %, so the highest level says 78 reduce, meaning 78% of the duration of the status is removed, and you only suffer 22% of the total effect's time.

Element, you sir are wrong.

It reduces the chance of getting Frostbites, burns and such. My Fire Shield King is at lvl 5 and I believe thats a 67 % reduce in status effects, and I have accesories that add up to a total of 39% Frostbite reduce. I actually tested this, I didnt buff or anything and told someone to freeze me with Frost Nova, and it actually froze me. After I put used the Fire Shield buff and the Frost Nova no longer worked. So this proves it reduces the chance of status effects, and it doesnt reduce time either.

It reduces the effect by a percent. If you reach 100% or above you'll become immuned.

Percentage is first applied...say ice of 200 error is done to you. You have 60% ice reduce on acc's. Error would now be 80(200-120). Fire shield is then applied, say this reduces 80(just for sake of argument), then your total your left with is 0, meaning, you won't get frozen.

i agree with welshkorn... i have 60% freeze reduce (total) from my accessories... and have fire shield king level 5... my friend tried frost nova storm (level1) on me, and i didn't freeze.......

of coz u cant freeze...lol..even level 5 cant freeze me..

Nice try, but you fail

I'm immune to zombie and electric shock with Book 3 Lvl 4. Gives me 64 reduce from fire shield. I have 40% total on my accessories for shock and yet I'm still immune.

I maxed mine today at level 68, it now gives 78% reduce and that's as high as it will ever get. So it's pretty easy to make 22% with 4 jewels now

Oh and just for the record if it's not 100% it does seem to reduce time, I've had 90% reduce of something and the 130 status effect bar just went from full to nothing really fast.

Where can you see how much % you reduce you have?
