A while ago i was hacked via a keylogger or brute hack....just wondering
how i would go about detecting a keylogger on my pc and to then
remove it, if i have one. thanks
1. Get an antivirus software such as Norton or McAfee
2. Get a good anti-malware scanner such as AdAware or SyBot
3. Use a 3rd party browser, such as FireFox or Opera
4. Use "Windows Defender"
5. Don't be dumb and download hacks, porn, illegal software and visit sites one should not be going to.
It's not about having the tools to remove it, it's about having to tools to not get it (i.e. Good computing knowledge).
If you truely allready have a keylogger on your pc, theres only 1 way to be 101% sure you will get rid of it.

It's dramatic I know... but that way you are sure it aint gonna be there anymore. I mean, you could get rid of it. But chances are the site/dude have now easy access to your pc and will continue to put harmfull files on your pc.

Some other good products:
1. Kaspersky Antivirus
2. Spy Sweeper
3. System Mechanic
4. Windows Firewall
