Are joymax ignoring people breaking their rules?

If they wanted to they COULD stop ccfing and botting.

Solution for ccf killing: (this idea has been presented to joymax before)

Level restriction for item mall stones. For example:

lv 1: 1degree stones.

lv 10: 2degree stones.

......

lv 64: 8degree stones.

This WOULD kill ccfing. What they do now is keep making new accounts.

Like: ccf1 ccf2 ccf3 all the way up to maybe 99. When 5000 silk is chargebacked they start on a new one.

However if they were to bot/level a character up to 64 in order to ccf some item mall stones it would GREATLY decrease/slow down ccfing, if not kill it.

Its funny how this idea has been presented to joymax before, but they chose to ignore it blindly.

Oh geeeehhh wizz i wonder why... Could it maaaybe be because they are getting insurance money from chargebacks? Thats right joymax, screw the frustrations the legit players are getting, its all good cuz youre getting your $$$$ right? ;)

About botting, when they first started banning them (for a month at a time i believe) they did it massivly. They can obviously see who's botting by looking in the server data, or maybe just take a peak who's going around gameguard. They CAN ban them all if they wanted to.

Its shown before that if they want they can make quick as hell actions.

I think fable showed us a good example of that by duping gold ;)

Think it took 30-40 minutes before they shut down the servers and responded with a rollback.

And yet even though joymax keeps pissing down your neck, you still choose to smile at them and keep playing. This is something i dont understand but whatever ;b

Propably never will..

Ugh well was good to get it out ;)

Let the debating start lol ^^

No point in complaing to JoyMax about CCF. I know so because I complain all the time. :P To stop CCF you have to bitch to CC companies that JoyMax is approving CCF, and isn't doing anything about that. CC companys would make JoyMax do something. As for botters, ofcourse JM knows who all botters are. But they dont block them for multiple reasons, they buy silk, maybe GMs bribed. Who knows, IMHO it would be best to auto block botters for a month. They would stop botting at some point.

Having been playing this game for a month and half or so now, I've definetely gotten the feeling that they aren't doing anything they say they'll do and apparently don't care to clean up their servers.

If I was a GM I'd be standing infront of the Herbalist in DW just banning each bot as they reach the front of their little bot line. Or maybe I'd be sipping pina coladas on the beach.. seems like there must be some corruption going on.

And yeah that's a good idea, it really would be a simple and effective solution to the CCF problem.

ask yourself what purpose posting this serves. While true on many accounts, does it serve any purpose other than stirring up trouble and making others miserable?

I say no. It has problems, but continually posting about them when you yourself have given up makes you a griefer.

it's allah :/

Anyways, joymax's action are indeed questionable, it's like someone before me said, they could just go stand in front of the dw herbalist, and kill every botter..

But they don't, why? we'll never know, joymax's ways is a one-way speedway, feedback? hell no.

Well i would say:
level 1 upto 3rd degree astral
level 8 upto 4th degree astral
level 16 upto 5th degree astral
level 24 upto 6th degree astral
level 32 upto 7th degree astral
level 42 upto 8th degree astral

and so on this way people can start to upgrade there gears for future levels while i was in 5th degree gears i was buying my 7th degree sos soo... with a few degee above you that would mean you can atleast modify your new gears

Well even if they did this, you would still be complaining about bots, events and any thing else that isnt going your way. EVERY GAME HAS ISSUES.

But if you wanna stop ccf go to the dam third world countrys and chop the hands off any one who plays silk road. Conclusion they cant type with nubs.

Good idea. JM really needs to solve the problems before they launch whole new worlds for botters, ccfers, and hackers to ruin.

CCF
The EASIEST temporary solution is to remove astrals from the item mall completely.

Botters
If JM doesn't have the manpower to individually ban botters, just give the players a means to fight back.

CCF
Ok I kind of agree. But EASIST does not mean good. And it's only temporary.

Botters
I may or may not agree with this. Please describe your solution a bit more. I can see solutions here........but.......they could get nasty fast. So maybe I'm missing your thought train.

Sounds good. Could work. But here is the rub. It involves new/more code. And semi extensive modifications to the whole system. This is not necessarily something that could be written and applied bug free over night. As if anything joymax does is bug free though. I am sure something of the nature exists in the to do list for the coders working on the system. But it would have to be done right. How many of you know ppl who buy gear 2-3 degrees ahead and work alchemy on it as they lvl so it will be ready when they need it. I do. And this degree restriction thing would almost surely mess them up and upset them. Perfect idea? No not really. Not a bad idea. But perhaps it needs more refinement before implementation.

The ban time has been drastically changed. Ban a legit player accidentally for a month and they will probably get over it. Ban their char for life and you can be sure most will never play again. When you ban for 100 years you better try to be damn sure it is the real thing and not an accident. Therefore they are a bit less heavy handed. I think rightly so.

Well for one the game is free if you want it to be. No one forces anyone to buy silk. Most other MMOs out there like this have a cover charge just to get in. SRO does not and this is all at once a blessing and a curse. It opens it to a much wider audience than might normally play these games. But it also reduces the income for the developers a bit. Leading to smaller staff and all the things that come with that. Further since it is free to create an account to play it leads to little real drawback from getting banned for CCFing and botting to most that know what they are doing. There are things that joymax can do and is doing to curb this a bit. But it is a decision. On average you get what you pay for. Those that pay in expectation of service like a pay to play game get a raw deal. For everyone else it is a sweet deal.

If you do some research into chargebacks and credit card fraud, you'll find that Joymax is losing money on these charges. Not making money. Credit card chargebacks get charged directly to the vendor's account. Anyone can do it. Credit card companies are built for the customer, not the vendor. In most situations if you threaten a company to dispute the charges with your credit card company, the company will refund you, as it costs them lest to void/refund a charge then to have a chargeback. There is no possible way for joymax to make money from these transactions. Even in some crazy conspiracy where they sell the in game gold from players used to buy the ccf'd astral/immortal stones to people for real money, the exchange rates are all wrong and wouldn't even cover the fees incurred by having a chargeback take place.

Your idea is great. I think it would ultimately stop astral/immortal selling. But this isn't where Joymax gets their money anyways, its from item mall pets and gold tickets.

Botting is not hard to take care of. Take down the gameguard server, ban anyone that logs in. It's just that easy. That will even take care of those that use a program to login for them.
