Has anyone read the "Punishment Policy"?

Ok, I was on the site and I came up to something interesting.

http://www.silkroadonline.net/cc/op.asp

^^ That link will direct you to Joymax's Operation Policy page. On the bottom, you could see the Punishment Policy (Number 8)

OK! Let's review this "policy" of theirs.

1)
Obscene, abusive speech
directed at specific individuals
and/or general population

1st Abuse: 3 hour chat block
2nd Abuse: 6 hour chat block
3rd Abuse: 9 hour chat block
4th Abuse: 24 hour chat block

Overview
OK, this is such bullshit. SINCE WHEN HAS ANYONE GOT A CHAT SPAM BLOCK? Remember lilaznboy?! WTF Nothing happened to him! I HAVE NEVER EVEN HEARD OF THIS. I have seen people SWEAR at the GM's and the GM's seeing it, and the GM's didn't do ANYTHING.

2)
Prevention of proper operation

1st Abuse: 5 hour account block
2nd Abuse: 10 hour account block
3rd Abuse: 1 day account block
4th Abuse: 3 day account block

Overview
OK, this means that if YOU prevent anyone from having a normal gameplay, you can be banned for a little bit. Wouldn't this fall under the KS'ing category? I mean, you are disrupting people's gameplay by not letting them lvl because you are stealing the mobs. Wouldn't EVERYONE in the caves be banned? This rule is COMPLETELY not in use.

3)
Site or Commercial advertising

1st Abuse: 3 day account block
2nd Abuse: 5 day account block
3rd Abuse: 10 day account block
4th Abuse: Permanent account block

Overview
Well, this is another rule that is not enforced. I see globals everyday by Powerleveling services, Gold Buying, bots. Joymax won't ban them, they buy silk to send out those globals!

4)
The sale of items and accounts
for real money/goods,
other game account/item sale,
illegal joint account sharing

1st Abuse: 5 day account block
2nd Abuse: 10 day account block
3rd Abuse: 20 day account block
4th Abuse: Permanent account block

Overview
OK, lol this is funny. All those accounts on eBay, they aren't banned. I see Lau with her eBay account and her eBay items, she isn't banned. Also, account sharing? How the hell will they know/Why does it matter.

5)
False reporting of unwholesome
behavior

1st Abuse: 5 day account block
2nd Abuse: 10 day account block
3rd Abuse: Permanent account block
4th Abuse: There is none, 3rd is the last straw.

Overview
Ummm, it's not like the even actually PM MOST of the people reported, so IDK really about this one.

6)
Character/Guild names
that violate policy

Subject to change by GM decision

Overview
Well this rule has been enforced, because I remember people put up Nazi flags as their guild emblem and the GM's took action.

7)
Spreading of rumors and/or
unconfirmed reports related
to game or service

Punishment is dependent on content or severity of rumor or unconfirmed report.

Overview
lol, GM's come to the forum, look at everyone screaming at you. Look at this post for Christ Sakes.

8)
Bug exploitation
(copying of items and etc.)

Punishment is dependent on severity of bug impact on game, duration of exploitation. All content generated from bugs will be deleted.

Overview
I give the GM's props on this one, they do react to most bug's in the game. Most the time. Except the wind issue right now, which we had to fix >.>

Apparently duping a few mil one time one evening needs a 100 year ban. They gave us a "fair "punishment, and we took "fair" action.

Thanks for posting that. I can't believe the ridiculous rules they've come up with. I can see it now----> "Omg, u ksed me i report u" 10 days later: You've been banned due to prevention of proper operation. That would be totally gay.

lol@number four.. So if you buy an account on ebay and get found out, you're blocked for five days.. the end. You've still got the ebayed acct, and you're fine. :|

It's funny. because if I didn't know about this game and if I read that, I would think the GM's are doing a HELL of a job. They don't do most of what they claim to enforce.

That's my point, they rather have more money than care about the rules. They made the rules, and they broke it themselves.
