AND, to add on top:

Since your int based, and you will be using nukes (no point in going int the other way around) stop using ice, and start using fire, it'll do way more damage nuke-wise and imbue-wise.. And ofc get a spear .

Well, see yesterday when I was flying in wow / this morning while it was down I got 13. So 20 is like 2-3 days with no tickets at all...

i eat hunters for breakfast...

Wow this gave me a big boost in confidence. All the lvl 50's and 60's in my guild say I level too slow because it took me under two months to hit level 45.

No but seriously...On my first ever characer It took me two weeks to hit level 20, but as PsYch008 (MY ..... partner in crime not any of yours so you can all be jealous hahahaha idk...ill stfu now.) anyway as PsYcH said...Grats on (what takes a good grinder) a hard day's work. Notice I included hard.

Using ice isnt noob, so dont make it sound that way.
It's easy to switch a glavie to a spear, nothing to fuzz about.
2:1 is perfect, when using a spear, which can be solved easily.
20 could be a large accomplishment to him, like it was to me the first time, dont you dare make it sound like nothing.
SP-farming isn't something you HAVE to do, so he's not a noob for not doing so.

Starting over is the most bullshit advice in this case, equip a darn spear an he'll be fine.

You should congratz him on hitting 20, instead of putting him down.

If he wants to be that character, let him be that character. All everyone does is be negative. Offer a possibly better build, fine. Dont bash people every second. Everytime i see people just post simple topics like this no matter what people have to be a-holes. Congrats on 20

I may not have posted here as long as most - but Im no new comer to this game. I am a level 65 Fire Glavie on Olympus. And he is welcome to build an ice glavier - but dont come here posting " woot lvl 20" with a crappy build and expect people to go " :o leet go you leet ass mofo" im not some moronic teenager that needs validation for every mundane achievement on a game. I have 5 charecters all over LVL 20, and not 1 would I have concidered an achievement at lvl 20.

think about this - if every single noob posted" woot I got 20" in this forum... the whole damn page would be nothing but that and it would be impossible to find any meaningful threads. So wether you like the chastizing or not - I feel it is more then warranted. Kthxby

fact is, lvl 20 isnt even a days work. i got to lvl 24 WITHOUT a ticket in a few hours WITHOUT having to buy any gear.

BUT

you should be congratulating him. you know why? its probably his first time to lvl 20. and the first time ALMOST ALWAYS takes that long. back when i started playing there were no "gold tickets", no guides on "sp farming", the only damn build anyone trusted was fire/str glaive, and there was no 'ideal' grind time that had been previously set(which is now set to 'all the time'). it took me a month to reach lvl 20 the first time around. you guys also have to consider that if it is his first character, he probably has spent most of his time sitting instead of potting.

I second that. Also, about SP farming... I'm not sure I see the point in farming at all. I guess you could go out and hardcore grind in the bandit stronghold from lv 16 to 20 with a 9 level gap and delevel over and over until you get 200k SP and then level up, but farming just seems boring. All that time spent at a low level fighting the same mobs over and over and over and over.... I've been doing just fine leveling up individual skills as I gain some SP, keeping a 3-5 lvl gap (usually 3) so my skills are better matched to my character level at the time.

I have been widening my gap, currently at 5 and working to 9, just to get some extra SP, but I plan on leveling different books in my trees as I get enough points. I just won't level the mastery trees for a while I guess.
