Do whatever you want, don't listen to anyone else (listen to me though :P). It doesn't matter what anyone else says because the facts are that gold buying is against terms of service, but like botting, it's only "wrong" if you get caught (and shamed since you are now a "gold buyer" in the eyes of all) - or lose your account from being scammed.

Don't use your main account though, use a second alternative one, then transfer over to your main (use a 2nd comp or a really good friend).

Yes, do not even buy from stalls or exchange when purchasing anything, and try to avoid NPC's like the blacksmith and the pot lady in hotan.. for they are uber leet haxors. ;)

Welllll.... even though something might be LEGALLY right, it doesn't mean it isn't MORALLY wrong. ;)

By purchasing gold from a website, you are pretty much supporting gold bots etc and you are weakening the silkroad economy to an extent.

It's legally wrong too. Read the EULA.

Oh, well I was commenting on someone elses post that said it wasnt in the terms of service..... I thought myself it was against the EULA, excpecially since the GM's occaisonally get on and say "it will get you banned" etc, but I was just stating using the other persons facts ;)

gold buying is kinda lame, it makes nice items almost completly unattainable for people that don't buy gold. but anyway losing 1mil isnt that big of a deal. you can go get some jewerly boxes and get a job suit that npc's for 440k, they arent that rare. seems like a bad excuse to wanna cheat.

True that... getting gold during this event as of now is incredibly easy. Unless you are fighting one mangyang every other hour on the hour.

zizzle, how did you get scammed? Did someone offer to sell you something "to good to be true" and you tried to get it? Did someone have a weapon elixer for 100k and change it to 1M? Always look at why you were scammed. Reflect on it and don't fall for it again. Considering you only lost 1M gold, you aren't that bad off. People lose high level accounts, 100M+ items, and so on daily.

I didn't change what I said, only bolded that part to stress the point that it is against TOS.

*imo* gold buying could be even wors then botting. if someone bots, hes kinda admiting it, because its just obvius. anyone can see him botting

now account/gold buying.. ye somewhat obvius as well. but these people will try to hide it. they will tell us they got a sox drop, they had many high level friends quiting and giving him all their gold, all of a sudden secret chars are going to be revealed ect ect

at the lvl cap, only gear makes someone stronger then others. and of course if someone is buying gold its the most unfair advantage he can get.
you dont need nothing else for alchemy only gold - buy a ton of gold, buy a lot of elixirs. failed to +7 +8+ 9? who cares! buy more gold, buy more elixirs, try again. earlier or later you *will* make it. not getting any drops? buy some gold, buy a sweet sox set

oh, and dont forget to tell everyone over and over how hard you grafted for all your gear. how hard you grinded for your drops

but Shiz is telling all this in one sentence :)

Dont buy gold and stay broke, since JM dont give any drops worth selling to anyone but the npc.you get one drop a week, alchemy is agianst 90% of the players, doing trade runs all day makes what 1-2 mil enough for 2-3 grinds. so yea walk around all day with about 2 mil in your pokect when everything for lvl 70s cost 5mil+. i dont see anyhting wrong with gold buying i say its pay back to JM for there bad services, its money they wont ever see for there silk.

buying gold is bad for you, dont buy gold...
then again this JM guys could sell the gold themself, then gold botter would have their profits cut down, all the users could have a chance to buy gold and the economy, the prices are already sky high and with joymax selling gold they could get a little higher but there's allways a limit (since there arent so many multimillonairs adicted to SRO).
player that buy gold supports the gold botters, but the biggest supporter for gold botters is Joymax. they support gold botters by: dont banning theme b: dont changing the old too crappy uberly useless gameguard*, c: dont selling gold like other online games does. that was my 564564654564654564 cents.... :? (SRO economy is so inflated lately that the only way i can imagine to balance it is buy giving everybody a complete set of SOX... lol :P )
*gameguard aka botguard, i think the program is there so the bots can log more easily (conspirancy theory number 457-c7)
(\__/)
(='.'=) This is Bunny. Copy and paste bunny into your
(")_(") signature to help him gain world domination.
and the name of the next joymax game is...:"We apologize for the problems this may have caused."

Your payback method only hurts the players and not JM. And fills the pockets of some stupid bot programer. A good way to encourage that person to continue upgrading the bot and fill the servers with even more. Not to speak of skyrocketing prices. They are as bad as they can be already now.

Yeah just keep saving and using crappy gear and by lvl60 you might be able to afford a lvl42 SoX weapon.
