So, I am lvl59 Spear INT hybrid and i have had a lot of capes fight. I did an average of my results and here is what happened:

vs @ my lvl
vs Glavies i win 65%
vs Bows i win 80%
vs Bladers i win 45%
vs Hybrid Sword i win 10%
vs Pure int Sword i win 25%
vs Hybrid Spear i win 65%
vs Pure int Spear i win 80%.

As you guys can see *i think* i am doing alright vs all the builds but vs Hybrid sword and pure sword i just cant beat them. It is so hard, cus they block a lot and knock me down a lot that i cant even kill them.

So my question is when I am knocked down, what is better for me, a High lvl Shield with low Br (10~14) OR a low lvl shiled with HIGH lvl Br(18~20).. Im planning to shield the u guys tell me is better , and try to survive vs Sword users.

I'd say get a high lvl shield with a high block ratio.
Best of both worlds.

I just saw your from Greece, to bad you didn't bring this up earlier, I had a lovely lvl 8 shield a 19 block ratio you could have had.

=P, yeap im from Greece.
But i mean im asking the question of the High lvl shield with low Br or Low lvl shield with high br.

I ask this, cus i see in stalls a SOSun shield lvl24 (i believe br20) and i also see in a stall a lvl52+7 shield with Br14. So which one you guys think is better?

Hmmm you say your lvl 59 and your from greece. Im also lvl 59 and from greece if u want we could pvp. As for ur shield dilema I think u might be better off w/ the lvl 52 +7.

Maybe a noob question... but if you're a spear int hybrid, how would you use a shield? You'd have to change your weapon to a sword or blade to carry a shield. I'm sure most/all of your weapon skills are in Heuskai (sp?) for spear/glavie so switching to sword/blade would make those skills useless and you'd just be left with cold/fire/light. Wouldn't that reduce your effectiveness in PVP?

Sure you could then block some of the opponent's attacks, but your attacks on him would be less effective.

I find your data questionable.

Assuming you are 2 (INT) : 1 (STR) Spear Hybrid with a lvl 56+3 Spear.

vs Glavies i win 65%
vs Bows i win 80%
vs Bladers i win 45%

And assuming those builds are pure STR builds, same level as you, with +3 weapon (Shield). In my experience glaives will own you 90% of the time. Blades will kill you 100% of the time. The bow, maybe 70% of the time.

Well, he said it was almost fifty-fifty, but you must have gone against some poor glavier.

That's another one I didn't get, maybe because the bladers don't do enough damage on him/he don't do enough on int's.

OT: I'd say that you better combine both highBR/stats, since you both wanna avoid being stabbed, and the damage of being stabbed.

Add parry ratio blues to your gear (and critical block yadda on weapon) and reroll BR on the low % stuff. I'd think it's a bit late to be switching weapon skills. There's also a force skill that effects the target's parry ratio and a lightning buff that improves yours.

For ME pure STR glavies and bladers are not a problem. If glavies get 2 crits + ss, i instantly die, but its weird for them to 2 crits and still have ss to use (if they dont get stunned by me or me running =/).

To be honest, i dont know why people say Hybrid Int cant kill bladers.... Bladers do shitty dmg to even with their sos52+5 (+7)... their stab at most is 1k and the combos is like (~300 dmg to ~500 each hit)... they dont even hit me 1/4 of my hp before they die. Some can kill me if they keep constantly knocking me down; which dont really happens cus i use phanton.

The big deal for me is that Hybrid INT sword or pure are dammmmmmm hard to kill. They block a lot and even if i phantom walk they still nuke me (lol); so i only use it after kd. But still they hit hard and nukes are powerfull (not much as me but still >.>). Need to explain more?

BTW to those of you guys asking why im getting the Shield; I am getting the shiled NOT because im changing of weapons... im only using the shield when im knocked down (which i cant attack nor move)... so i can block and not lose hp and have more chances of survival.

So anyone outthere bothering to answer my question about the 2 shields?

Have You or your Opponent SP Farmed?

Your Gear vs. Your Opponent's gear.

The builds themselves only come into play when these factors are closely tied.. As in, you both are the same lvl, you both are non or fully farmed, and you're both wearing identical (or close) gear.

Garments are almost always the best choice for PvP anyway (except int's idk bout them im pure str all the way xD), were the glaviers you fought wearing garments? Were they even 5x? Did you mistake the four ring lightning glavie for the munwhangs storm glavie AGAIN? Tsk tsk...

doesn't anyone think that being able to switch to a shield when u get KD is really unfair?
they should make weapon switching take 5 seconds to avoid this, u chose a goddamn spear or glaive or bow for more dmg and u want more defence too?
what can a bicheon used do for more damage? stab with a spear or glaive?
that's the reason why this game will die everyone just thinks about them being strong then gets bored of it and quit.
look at it, that the reason there are so many botters and ccfers, it all comes from something simple as this shield thing, u bot to be the best, ccf to be the best and gain unfair advantage to be the best.

masteries in heuk and bich, and fire and light. it can be done, but i dont know if i recommend it. hehe.

I am not saying that s/s blocks more than bladers, but when s/s blocks that means i have less chances of winning (like if i have a lot vs them ). Im also saying that even if i phaton walk they can nuke me. VS bladers if i phaton walk they have to run or use phatong walk to attack me again and that takes a lil time (which i can reocver a lil hp).
And yes those glaviers used garment and im sure they were lvl59 cus
they are in my guild or union (i see lvl in pt). And btw i use Armor to pvp (Garment to farm). I dont even stand a chance vs s/s with garment . Im seriously serious.. s/s are hard to kill for me and i think for any hybrid int.

Personally i dont think its unfair; i guess its part of the game.

You see everyone cas use fire shield, and even shield users can use the bird to optimizes dmg.

i would say just the high br doesnt matter level. because you arent focusing on the defense of the shield, raised by the level. you focus on the block ratio. so i would think the Higher BR is the way to go no matter the level. Figured i would answer you since nobody else seems to

shield nukers are scary because if you cant take them down quick, they have nothing stopping them from hitting you when ur a spear. Bladers dont do so much damage at once, and dont have the long range a nuker has either. I dont see it being so impossible for him to take bladers and not int shields. they have more health but he can survive them longer and phantom if he needs to, to regain health and not have to worry about gettin knocked with a nuke in the side of the head.
