How to kill bots without turning purple!

For those of you that are high-level and want to see bots die. This works for bots who are at least 15-20 levels lower than you.
Although almost all actual/legit/human players are smart enough to avoid this, please do your best to avoid harming them.
High-level grass-walk and/or phantom are recommended. I use 2nd book of grasswalk and phantom lvl7. Here are the instructions:
1) Buy a bunch of trade horse scrolls and transport pills.
2) Put on a trader flag, buy one trade item and go out to where the bot(s) are.
3) Keep your horse near the bot until an npc thief spawns. Then, quickly run/phantom away and destroy your horse. The thief will auto-aggro the next closest target (in this case, the f***king bot!). The thief will then proceed to WTFBBQPWN the damn bot and you can then kill the thief and rinse and repeat!
Enjoy!!
And remember. If all the lvl70's on all the servers would take some time out of their busy PVP schedules and spawn thieves on bots each day, the servers would be a lot more bot-free and player-friendly.
I have been known to single-handedly clear Tibet's entire Hotan/Mujigi area of bots within a few hours and have received MANY positive tells, along with some really COLORFUL ones from full-time botters.
So please, since GM's aren't doing jack-s*** anymore, stop whining about bots and GO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

waste of time, they just respawn and go back to botting.
on the other hand, ive seen some botters with red names, someone has found a way to turn them murderers, hmm...

I do this all the time.
Except its on anyone leaving a city gate
As an improvement, just get Therapy and a high * load and sit down a botter area. That way, you save a lot of pills, pots, and transports.

that will cost you 50k.

you just send your wolf on them, then they might turn back and attack your wolf you let your wolf die and they become murders, then you proceed on killing them.

sorry for the noobish question but how do you go about that? Don't you start attcking them yourself as soon as you alt-click them? I guess you get purple either way but is there a way to select someone for PKing? Alt+hotkey while hovered over them or something?

What we do is get a 3 star and go to the Scorpions region... then when a thief spawns with lighting.... The hunters lure them to the bots and kill them one by one... Real funny... we kill like 30 to 40 bot's that wayper run.. Player thiefs leave us alone because we kill bots...

You will still have to protect the non-botters.

why dont u just lion-shout the botter, ghost walk away, and hide behind some obstacle such as a cliff or rock or something and then u wait for your name to stop being purple and walk outside?
I hope that works though I havent tried it since I cant survive one hit from many botters and the ones I can survive a possible hit from are all gold farmers, and thats somewhat useless for them

Right now, most bots don't attack back.

Interesting variation. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the npc thieves de-spawn after a while ONLY if the transport is destroyed? So, another person keeps the transport alive while you maintain an "immortal", lightning-enchanted npc thief who splash damages those who you walk near?

The only sure way of dealing with the bots on Silkroad.. Is not to play silkroad. Thats what I have done. Till they fix the bot problem, its not worth my time getting fed up watching people bot past me in levels. Then use those botted toons to kill me on my trade run. The game just isn't fair to those of us who play our toons by hand. At this point I kind of hope that everyone starts to bot and making SRO the 1st RPG that is played 100% by computers..
Once SRO looses its player base then ...... maybe they will fix the problem. Its full out cheat mode right and no one cares.
See you all later im switching to Rapplez. But I will come back once the Euro side comes out.
I been playing for 4 months and I can tell by now SRO doesn't care or can't fix the bot problem.
Goodluck.

The gold and gear farming bots do that to delevel on purpuse. So it might have been them you saw. The ones at yetis on babel have been there for months and months now.

All these tricks are starting to become useless
I have seen many new bot programs on venice, maybe old but new to me
bot kills mob logs off 2-3 secs later logs on (repeats)
npc thief spawns near it, it logs off then logs on
player attacks bot logs off 2-3 secs logs back on
at the end no matter how much you try to kill bots there alwayz gonna come back after you kill it and keep training while you waste your time
i try to ignore it as much as i can, one time i got a bot to turn purple. yay me! killed then it was there again...moved to a diff spot became happy again lol

why not get a lightning archer thief on you and then get them owned with the splash they thunder gives off... that way you own the bot, protect the non botters but as some have already said - no point really as they instantly respawn back at town and run back out like nothing happened

If you persist, you will de-level them down to a point where they start dying to the mobs. That, or the bot owner will come back and turn it off. Hell, I think some bots are now smart enough to stop when they see the gear they are wearing has turned red for some strange reason.
If even half the lvl70, fully-farmed PVP community would just f***king take about 1 hour out of their day and go kill some bots, the bots would never get a break and it wouldn't be worth paying for a bot anymore.

Now that you put it that way... It always feels strange when, out of 20 different names I PM, maybe 1-2 respond if I am lucky... What is the quote I'm thinking of...
"I dont want to be one of those things....Walking around without a soul." ~Angelina Jolie in Resident Evil, the movie
