so today i decided to do an experiment making a noob and asking for tis infamous 10k gold saying.

well i went to jangan south gate and ask the high lvls for 10k. As u probably knows wat happend they ignore me and told me to attack the bot protector they summon.

after seeing how important 10k is to a noob i think i will actually start to give these noob 10k. to us 4x +.. 10k is nothing.. barely enuff to get pots..

O rly? When you understand the value of gold, then talk. Small amouts of cash make large amouts of cash.

Also, how hard is it to earn those 10k? Seriously it takes alot faster then everyone thinks.

Sure 10k is nothing, but what if you meet 10 noobs and they all ask for 10k?
That's 100k, you could buy 2 prot elixirs for this money and make your gear better, thus making money by selling our hunting later... :P

That would be idiotic.

Who the fudge do you think these 10k newbs are? Could it be people on chargebacked accounts who wanna go to hotan to add item mall stones?

I really dont see any other explanation for asking for 10k.

helping noobs its ok with me, u give them some white items they can use, tips about the builts and a link to SRF guides and tutorials if they are asking for something more than gold. giving 10k to noobs i think it just help to spoil them
ps.: how do u know if its a noob or oldbie making a new character?

sometime ago i was really crazy about getting a sox bow (i usually spend lot of money on crappy items (im trying no to but sometimes the stupidity is bigger than me besides, i have my share of saving money IRL to go anal IG) well i found this "not so good" bow for 4mil and i was like 3 mil in cash, a noname wolf and another 500k on elixirs and trashy items... then again the dude that was selling the sos was in a hurry. my point is that while u dont need it x amount of money is nothing, when u are short x amount of money can be a lot. anyways now i that see that post i have to admit that is a common place, like telling someone: "A dollar saved is a dollar earned" or "a horse, my kingdom for a horse"

Personally i am taking my time with my new account and i am only lvl 18, 10k isnt hard to get but it is when you need 10k more of anything to get one thing. It just takes time. Remember when you were a noob? Remeber how annoying it was to lvl up because lvl 60s would come through in a huge party after a trade run and annihliate all the manygangs in sight and you had to wait for them to leave to evn think about trying to lvl up? Just yesterday it struck me as some guy asked me for some potions. I ended up giving him my old garments and some money too. Noobs become higher lvls eventually. Help em out like you wouldve wanted help when you were one. That is all. Class dismissed.

10k pls

I've only been playing a few days but I've played enough MMORPGs to know that asking for a hand-out gets you nowhere. I've had better luck asking to be in a party. I'm only lvl 20, but I'll still help noobs by partying with them and letting them have some free xp or answering every question I know the answer to.

So, about that 10k...

In my opinion, I don't think we should give noobs gold directly. I had helped a guy last time. He asked me for 5k. I was in a really good mood (Just complete a project in real world). So I gave him. Then he add me buddy. I accepted. For the next whole week, he harassed me and keep on asking for equips and gold. In the end, I deleted him as buddy (very pleased that in SRO, there is no way to locate someone by only knowing his IGN).

My point is, do help noobs, but do NOT give them gold. Some of them are just used to put their hands out and ask from the pros. When we were noobs, we did not ask for anything did we? We also got our first 10k by selling grinding mangyangs.

So, I think the best thing to do is to teach them how to earn. At most party them and help them.
