chargeback, bans, and how to GET MY +7 SPEAR BACK!!

by Ice771x
ok. so. i let a guild mate borrow my +7 spear, which i posted about a few days ago. now i was all psyched about it and all. i wanted to show it off. so i let a friend borrow it.
well, last night, after we all got dc from the inspection, i guess my friends dad had identity theft issues. so he canceled payment on my friends silk charge, resulting in a ban.
im not really so concerned about my spear. thats number 2 on the list. i know theres a way to pay jm for the silk. i jsut dont know exactly how to go about it. so any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advace

You have to have your friends dad repay the silk charge, and have paypal/cc company send a letter to JM saying that everything is resolved. (I think that's all you need to do. Not sure though.)

Sorry to hear that Ice771x!
You shouldn't quit though for that reason! Give it up because it takes up too much of your time or is a waste of your time, but not because you lost an item. Don't go out that easy!
Good luck with your friend getting his account back. That's just horrible, was he 70?

no theyre 67. i let them use the spear till i got to 64. i just got 63 last night.
it probably doesnt seem like a good reason to quit to many people...but if it happened to you i think youd feel a little different about it.

No, trust me, I've been there done that (IRL as well as video games). Not with this specific game, but I know exactly how you feel,it's pretty dam depressing.
It's much easier to quit though, then to make the big comeback recovery (Not as much IRL, but in video games). You gotta look at it like any other challenge that comes your way and overcome it. Sure, it's not easy, but if everything was easy, would it still be enjoyable? Yes, it's a challenge you'd rather not have, but that's the way it unfortunately turned out.
You can do it

a bit of perspective:
one of my guildies had his ENTIRE 7th degree SoS armor set scammed from him by someone impersonating a guild member w/ the I/i trick. he's never had much gold, and he worked long and hard assembling this set. he had JUST lvled to 57 THAT DAY and was finally able to waear the chest for the first time. he lost it all. but, rather than whine and cry and have a pity party, he picked himself up and continued playing, with the support of the awesome people in our guild. he even refused help from many of us, saying that he'd rather get back on his feet himself. truly commendable.

Don't quit just because of an item! Who knows if you would get a better one tomorrow? So get back onto your feet and continue play. Trust me, there isn't many games as good as SRO out there!

lol buddy of mine lost a 70, well close to 70, 69 nuker, with about 60 mil gold on it... along with some beautiful gear due to a chargeback. But we didn't let him quit.

he's 52 now and farming but he's a bit of an idiot i think he might get banned for charback again...

hey number no one asked you.
thanks to everyone whos not a dickhead for the replies. im still a little more concerned over my friends account. so if anyone knows how to get jm their money id appreciate it.

The only way I know JM will cancel the ban is if the service provider you pay through contacts them and say it was all a misstake. Since Paypal haven't help out our union guy, I hope your friend didn't pay trough them.
The GM's won't listen. They don't care. JM needs proof it was not chargebacked on the purpuse of stopping a ccf. Good luck. You'll need it...

We had a 70 archer join our guild a while ago, after 2 days or something he let me borrow his sos+7 bow without blinking. Of course because im well known on the server and you just dont do things like that
When you have been on a server for a while and reached a high lvl 64+, everyone start knowing you. And you would have be to a mad greedy dog to steal something as silly as a weapon (and even from your guild) because of course it would destroy your reputation.
Of course nobody in their right minds would do such a thing.

Hmm...lets see.
Whem we were bored I gave pure my +7 spear and he started nuking, while I used his sos bow and used my lvl 10 bow skills! Was some pretty fun stuff. Lemming often let me use his spear and we even traded gear sometimes when I fought ints and for him to fight strs. Me and pure also traded gear so I could tank the whole nachal room and he could go fight yacha's and use like 2 hp pots. And if I do remember correctly, you gave me a sword or blade or something to try and +5 because you kept failing. Yeah, I did try to steal Vtlegend's +9 shield because hes a botting whore. And oh noes, my reputationz0r on the intraweb is being challengedz0r, oh em gee let me cry a little bit. You keep calling people geeks and shit zexy, but really, your prolly some fat ass chick with pimples and big ass glasses.
