Well i was grinding when a guildie logged on and said he had to download a patch to get in, so i logged out to see what was going on, and noticed it seemed to be updating npcs.

Anyway, i extracted the data out of the pk2's and had a look at the txt file that contains all so-ok chat, and in the line "SN_TALK_QEV_CH_EVENT_KISAENG_061121_A"
(this is so-ok tomorrow ^_^) i found:

Hello. My name’s So-ok.
So-ok is now here. I came to celebrate Thanksgiving this time.
This time we have a great event lined up for you.
The Jewelry Box Event!!
Once you defeat a monster, receive a jewelry box, and bring it to me,
I’ll give you a most delectable gift in return.
Remember… bring me those boxes.
Remember this too…any boxes you don’t use will, at the end of this event, be erased.

nice this will be my first event like this since playing sro.

btw is it hard to find those boxes from monsters??

not really, last time it was pretty easy.

depending on what level you are and where you level

For example, if you grind all week at Yeti's, you'll end up having ~5 boxes lol.

If you grind on flowers at oasis, ishades, hashades, or just make a lvl16 char and get a SOM bow to 2-shoot bandit archers, you will have more than a storage full off them when the event ends.

eh? so grind on low level mobs?

and where abouts is this npc??

near the teleports or fountain's...

well basically yeah, all mobs drop in different rates.
In 2 weeks of exping at Yeti's i gain as many drops as exping for 2-3 days at Sonars.

The lower lvl = the more drops kinda.. some mobs have really nice droprates, such as the Flowers around Oasis and Ishades/Hashades.

someone siad this isnt starting till tomorrow..but seen as we all got the patch when we logged on today has it not already started..?? because im grinding like mad and havent found anything yet and just want to see is it just because the actual event hasnt started yet..

Yeah I started playing during the easter Event. And Nearlt my first kill a manyang dropped an egg so...They drop frequently..lets say as much as a weapon elixer...

Boxes again huh hmmm this should be fun i hope theres monster scrolls xD ill make sure to stay away from the dam gates with my low lvl char lol because i know how you high lvls like to spawn strong stuff outside of jangan LMAO

so we have all downlaoded the patch yeah..but the actual evenmt dosnt start till tomorrow is that right??

not really all high lvls... only those with major issues

the drop rate of jewel boxes is way superior to wep elix drop

yeah ive only found one weapon elixer and im lvl 28..and that one i found was just lieing in the middle of the road..at the tigers..must of fallen off someone..

Yes, the patch we downloaded is just client-side changes, so you will be able to see So-ok tomorrow.

The server-side changes will be made during server inspection.

They spawn monsters around your lvl, but they are much stronger and have the word "strong" next to their name.

It's a scroll for either 1-5 people, the number is the amount of spawns and you get 5 minutes to kill the monsters, they're like super strong monsters of your own level, much harder than a giant, they give loads of exp and gold.

Or if your high you can amuse yourself by spawning a 5 person at Jangan south which everyone does cuz everyone else either gets killed or runs off.

I hope we get scrolls I'm gonna have so much fun
