JoyMax should make one. In the last 30 minutes I tryed loging in more than 50 times, and I'm still not logged in! There. I had to say it. You can now post how much my bitching annoys you.

Lol one already exists.

My friend programmed his own, and i have also let myself be told that they are included in bot programs.

A macro can be programmed to do anything, from 'botting' on monsters in the game, to re-opening the SRO client when it automatically shuts down when it can't connect, or automatically entering your user info and clicking 'enter' on the log in screen, to spamming text in game such as 'selling SOS +5 blade blah blah'....

Too bad it's a macro which are against SRO policy.

LOOL! Seriously! On this point im gonna have to throw in a comment.

If we were talking about a bot i could understand you. But an auto-login script. Who the fudge does that hurt?

Even if its against their policy who cares? Joymax doesnt care about us.

Youre all going on "silk strikes" to try and get joymax to provide better customer service, but regardless you consider an auto-login script morally wrong?

That i dont understand......

used a login macro once, moved the mouse, clicked and typed out stuff, you could leave it going, sometimes when it lagged it would bork up, and you'd have about 50 windows of 'Silkroad is already executed!" xD

completely harmless, I don't even thnk gamguard had a problem with that one, the clicks on a 1024x768 screen where fairly out of the way, so when it did log in it would just be clicking around the charavter select screen, never clicked a character, and then if you used it when logged in? what'sd it do?, shout your username at a mangyang ^^

I'm not saying I wouldn't use it. I'm using the thing that enables you to scroll extremely far out so that I can see people's names from nice and far away. It doesn't hurt anyone, but it gives me an advantage over others. Just as a log-in macro would. Not that I wouldn't use one of those either. I'm just saying. 8)

Then you are by-passing the Gameguard and thats against SRO rules. And you have also Zoomhack then. No gameguard = zoomhack :) Btw They can ban you for bypassing gameguard alone already. Not that they do that cuz they dont ban anyone so, care =] BTW. if u mate did it without bypassing the gameguard please tell me how he does the pass + login in the boxes. I tried almost everything. From microsoft onscreen keyboard to free onscreans , all get blocked by gameguard :(

Wouldn't having a log in program mean the servers getting hammered with people trying to login repeatedly and very quickly (more than now) and therefore resulting in major lag?

The reason for the player limit on the sro servers is to avoid the lag.

More players on the server = more lag.

But i doubt everyone using auto-login scripts/programs would result in that.

However if you ask me its a stupid solution. They should expand their fudging bandwith for isro so they could increase the player limit >_<

there is one that i've heard about that works with the bot programs, it logs in after dc and can be used to afk and try to log on when server is crowded. i don't know anymore, i don't bot so i dunno details, all i know is it exists :D

What I have actually been wondering about is what would happen if joymax removed the player limit. So that everytime you click connect you would be logged in immediatly regardless how many ppl are on the server at that time.

I think that would lead to ppl logging of when they go afk because they dont have to fear they wont get ingame again. That would lead to a decreased amount of players on the server which can be used by ppl who actually grind.

If you just walk around and count the players doing nothing at all and just standing around you will see, that there are really a lot.

But knowing Joymax as it is they wont even try such a thing... that would require some minutes of their precious time to change some lines of program code and they wont want to spend that time :P

SilkMind 0.064 is available in English and Russian

You accept full responsibility if you should choose to use SilkMind. I cannot be held liable for any damages incurred.

Nah, it attempts to log into a character of your choice in a specific server and relaunches the SRO client if it should crash.

It's technically a "bot".

No actually this would lead to "more" ppl on all the time. During "high" lag periods ppl would simply "stall". From experience the old saying "Give someone an inch and they'll take a mile", goes for networking in general. Most people don't understand networking at all. Nor do the have the foggiest idea of what 90% of the lag in iSRO is caused from. Its not AFK stalls. Its not even friggen gold bots. The 2 major causes of lag are:

Client side GFX update issues. Yes this is a major cause. Not the cause.
The other which my guess is 2 of you will understand this. More than 50% of the people in INTERNATIONAL SRO live in North America, South America, or Europe. And the servers are in Taiwan(or some other Western Pacific country).
Quoted from Wikipedia:
Most, but not all of this latency is distance-induced, since there are latencies built into the equipment at each end and in the satellite itself. The time difference may not be much more than a second, but is noticeable by humans.
/quote

Your welcome to read the whole article here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latency_%28engineering%29

When you are playing a fast intense video game, 1.5 seconds can be life or death. Even if the iSRO server admins (its not the GM's job) installed Gig net to each server we would still see lag.

Now before you spend 20 minutes of your life flaming me. Try this for a change. Read my post fully. And remember, "even if" iSRO doesn't have the built in option to ignore you, I can.

Have a wonderful day.

^Whats with the pessimism? Hehe.

Some people have mentioned a queue system here before. It sounds like a better thing for SRO to implement, no? All you have to do is just wait in line, so to speak. So why strive for log in program where your chances of getting in are random and slim at most?
