Guilds are non-botter if:

Post by hellsharpt »

I want to get people's opnions on this subject as it seems to come up alot.

My opinion is that if a player has ever botted that character is not 100% legit. Further, I believe that the guild the player is in harbors botters.

Let's not get into the whole proof argument. Assume there was an admission of prior guilt.

if anyone in your guild has ever botted you are not fully legit, i don't care if they stopped botting. that's like everyone hardcore bot to lvl 70, then stop so we are clean now -.-"

I choose the first option. However i know that it is inevitable that sometimes your guild members could be a botter. Sometimes it is difficult to tell if your guild members are botting unless you hunt them down 1 by 1 because they may not reply you when they are stalling.

Guilds are considered non-botter if the players in it

1. Never botted
2. The leaders of the guild kicked the botter out of the guild as soon as he/she is found guilty.
3. Always reinforce the rules of the guild and emphasis on the severity of botting

ZZZZZ....good idea but not very reliable as some players wouldn't want to talk while grinding (some even block their chat lol)

well...

if someone new joins the guild and they happen to be botting, but aer kicked out as soon as the others know he is botting....

what does that count as?

That, to me, should make the guild bot-free because they are anti-bot, but that means someone in the guild has botted. soo...

confusion arises. :?

Hehe however you forgot he says: No one in your guild has never botted. Notice the bolded letters. This means if you have kicked the botter out of your guild, he/she is no longer part of your guild. The remaining members of the guild has never botted thus your guild returned to "your guild has never botted"

keep it simple as I stated. If you let someone (or keep them) in your guild and they have botted in the past is your guild 100% legit or not.

BH is bot-free. anyone caught botting is kicked. anyone who has ever botted, even if the char was botted by a previous owner, doesn't get in. we do a lot of research before we recruit.

bwoaaah, well I guess it's obvious what I think.
Botters are here, and can be nice persons, some botters only babysit, they just hate clicking the pixels. For me, that equals grinding.

Hardcore botting, like I do, 24/7, never there etc is the only real botting in my eyes. If you have people like me in your guild, your guild is a botter guild. If you have people who only babysit, I judge your guild to be legit. He's at the pc, watching what it does, for me it's the same as clicking the mobs.

Ontopic:

If you had botters in your guild means that you cleansed your guild, cleaned up from botters and are anti-bot.

If you have, well then everyone here thinks your filthy stink, should die a long death etc etc. So yeah, then you're botter.
I bot.

Be sure to watch their GP while they are "afk", if they don't respond to chat.... Send them in-game mails, it shows up while even F12d and chat turned off. If they dont respond to the mail, and you still see their GP go up... ka bam

Then you go hunt them down to be 100% sure, make them go murder for an extra spice to it :P

Guilds are legit if they make an efforted attempt to keep botters, CCFers, powerlevelers, etc. out. That includes ex's.

+1

Ccf'ers are made of same crap as botters. They both stink.

well ive had guilds where we really meant it to be legit, but some nub sneaks into it and starts botting. We kick them whenever we detect them but in a lvl 5 guild its hard to detect everyone.... for all you know someone is botting just isnt always afk so u cant tell immediately...

legit guild= no botters in it (if we find a botter or someone who has botted in the past - kick), no ccf (same as for botters, no matter when he/she has done it)
Most important for us is- be a fair player, be as friendly as possible, don't ks others, don't use your NPC thiefs to kill 1 * traders or low level questers, no begging, don't spam any chat with words noone like to read, strictly forbidden botting, ccf, "bot-producing" by buying gold.
Don't forget it is a game, play it to have fun, not to get a sense in your life.

I'll kick asap when I will see one of my members breaking the rules!

i'd say a legit guild would be one that:

-Currently only has members who never used bot.
-Has kicked all members who they have found botting.

You can't really blame a guildmaster for recruting an awesome guy and finding out a few weeks later he babysits his bot, and that shouldnt bring down the reputation of a guild for good.

19 people voted to imply that they would allow past botters in, yet no one is speaking up. Why don't you come out of the closet and explain yourselves.

Botters who botted like 1 day are different than those that botted up to 70. People can make mistakes, but if they didn't realize it fast...

Its the peeps that want power over legitimacy. They won't speak up because they're too worried about their or their guild's image.
