SRF Video Crew

I'm thinking, SRF should have our own SRO video crew for each server. NB may be of use, and everyone eles as well. I was thinking of starting a SRO Video and was thinking maybe we all should do it, those people that are bored of grinding, this could be good. 
I have a few ideas..

Agreed, along with that I've shown some friends my ideas and they pretty much like them. I will display some later.
Note: before each release of videos, we should have a trailer also including when srf releases the video. Then every release requires all srf members to rate the video. Man I think we'll need a new section for this

lol, i think sum1 should apply to be an admin for that section after hanging around for awhile

you don't necessarily have to use fraps. You can use Windows Movie Maker
Some really, really good vids have been made with that. If you don't know of any I'll give you one especially well-done vid, not just because of music but because of picture quality.

Sounds good.
Fraps is free. I don't mean getting it illegally. It comes free with a download of another program. Its and old version but it works.

Its a program used to figure out where your lag is coming from. It needs fraps to measure the FPS so it comes with the program. I'm not sure if they managed to integrate a FPS counter into the program or not. Hopefully fraps is still placed in the installation with with the program considering I got the program a long time ago.

Aww, thats too bad. Well, atleast I tried. Hope you find a program. The silkroad community needs more video makers.

I have a really good video editing program, but its not free.
I am really just a novice at movie making. THe movies you see loaded on youtube are all the movies I have ever made. lol Im not really that good at it, but if you all wanna make them, Ill certainly help. Im still learning about editing like I learn about everything else, trail and error and random button pushing.
Iguana, that is the best SRO movie that ever was, dunno why either. Its just fabulous for no apparent reason.

I'm happy that everyone so far agrees with tis SRF Video Committee. Though I don't know what to do first, make a video with everyone's help first, or group few sections and make a section first.
Either way I have a script I am typing up, hopefully particial will be for display tomorrow.
Do you guys think I should use a program called "SoftMod" to be able to use more camera views ingame or what? It would give the scenes, and the video itself look realistic, sorta.

I like the idea, But you're gonna need to put up a
little form stating the name,server,lvl etc etc...
So then you can get everything sorted and stuff...
You're not gonna be wanting headless chickens in
troy thinkin they're gonna be in a movie that is being
setup in oasis or something... So you should get
a couple of groups ready if you know what i mean>?

Well, If it's only to alter the camera view then it's not
anything "BIG" its only the GMs that make such a small thing
turn into a bigger thing than what it should be...

Guess, my friend's suggestion is quiet unreliable. Didn't know it involved client editing and third party use, so yeah NB I didn't say such a thing
Though it isn't a big deal, so I'm just going to forget what I mentioned earlier. Though everyone doesn't have to be in Oasis to be part of the video editing.

If this has potentiel for anything more I'll d/l that thing

I don't really get this GaiaX...should we all record certain "scenes" of a movie and then post/upload it ? Or just post our movies of...whateva we're doing on SRO ?

I'm more focused on making a movie involving anyone in Oasis, but others who would like to help as in Editing the video are more than welcomed to.
I was also suggesting others make videos together in other servers, releasing videos under SRF will be more exciting then making your own video.
But I would like to add, the video I am writing a script about isn't just random PvP or trade runs, I am writing so each main character gets their scene, events happen 1 by 1, I am going to make this into a MOVIE 
If you have ever seen the "Thief vs Hunters" video made in kSRO or was it tSRO, not sure, than you'll known what I mean. I want the video I am scripting to be well organized.

Making a sro vid? Sounds good, I have fraps, but i'm still a nub I still havn't edited the video of when I first went cave yet..lol But I have some decentish video editing software called pinicle studios i'll try play around with that a bit see what I can do. I wish they made a server where everyone could come together, then you could make a great sro vid with all the servers together ^^.
