Inflation of Wind 2 and other in-demand elements

I only know this is happening in the Troy server, but i'd assume its happening in most other servers too. At the beginning of the week, wind 2 and 4(and some others) were goin for about 1.5k. Then one day, someone decides to say, 'Hey! Im gonna sell em for 2k each and make more of a profit because they're so in-demand.' People go, 'Oh, hey, if he can sell em for 2k each, why can't we?' So they start selling them for 2k each. Just as recently as today, this idea has been taken to the max and prices have hit 4-5k for ONE piece.
I don't know about anyone else, but i think this is absolutely ridiculous at how the prices have inflated over, not the past few months, not the past few weeks, but days and hours! I personally think that this has gotten to the level where someone needs to raise a serious issue about this to a GM or something and make them aware.
Some solutions I have thought of:
1. Change it so that the different levels of the same tab requires different level elements(for instance all the stamina and STR tabs require wind 2 at every level).
2. Change what each in-demand tab needs, like so that not all the str-int-stam-mag tabs need wind 2(maybe not all but dont feel like looking).
So, my reason for posting this is to first of all, make people aware and, second of all, to see what you guys think about this and what your suggested solutions are.
Post Away!

Yeah, it's bloody nuts. I've in the middle of alchemying my gear and can't do anything with wind 2 because the prices have gone through the roof. Just taking a quick look at my tablet list, the ones that use wind 2 are - int, flesh, challenge and philosophy. Wind 4 - stamina & magic. Water 4 - stamina, master, int, flesh & challenge. All these elements are going for crazy prices.

I never had probs with wind2, its always wind 4 that was a bitch. If you're 69/70, farm Earth Ghost Soldiers for wind 2, Yachas for wind 4.

Supply & Demand.
Supply is low; demand is high; prices are through the roof.
Personally I get sick and tired of people b!tching about how 2 for one unit is expensive. If you can't find it anywhere else, than you better be prepared to pay my price.

price ceiling ftw!! (but that will create a severe shortage of wind2)

no u got it wrong lol... supply cant be "low". its the quantity supplied that is low. as u move down the supply line, the suppliers will be supplying a low quantity at a lower price. In relation to the demand curve, the buyers would pay a higher price for a lower quantity.

yea SRO seriously need some intervention into its economy. something like a government or something (thats run by joymax).... seriously needs a balancing factor. needs price ceilings so CCFers dont inject billions and billions of gold into the economy and cause mass inflation. the game needs alots of price controls.. you let the economy run in free trade, everyone will just exploit it to their advantage. hence CCFing and gold buying.

They need to add more things like elixirs so there is less money circulating at any point in time. Potions/elixirs/transports/pills aren't enough.

You can tell that the economy is going to crap on Troy when the gold sellers have dropped their prices by 30% in the last few weeks.

Lol, yeah ^, good point, I noticed that also.
We really do need some intervention in here though, this is completely ridiculous.

wind 2 is about 3/4 of my profits as an SP farmer.. no one wants to buy plain gear at that lvl, the gold drops are so small, and even sos is kinda worthless if ur luky enuf to get it, and bandit archers dont drop elixirs - so im glad wind 2 cost a lot..almost forces the high lvls to trade with the low lvls.

Most people don't even realize how much money botters make; whenever I try to explain, Im told 'don't make generalizations'. Something people say every other post.
But Hey. Whatever.

Its kinda same with sos weapons in Venice. A lvl 32 +3 weapon with decent crit went for like 7m 2 weeks ago. But now just because some buyer-sellers overpriced lvl 32 weps, they'r worth 11m+

11 million? Fark.

I thought Trojan prices were bad enough. There's been a drop in SOS protectors on Troy since the event, 4th degree leg & chest are going for about 600-750k atm.

Sounds like a good business opportunity to me.
Go hunt Scorpions (blood and poison), Sonars, yetis (bats) all give Wind 2.

Completly agree. That is something that I've learned here on the forum and this is the way I get the wind 2. Go to Jangan, buy the cheap 2nd and 3rd degree equip and use destroyer rondo. You will get that you need and more elements for half price.

people in my clan do that alot, they go jangan and buy like 2nd and 3rd degree wepons and destroy them, although there more expencive then eq they give the most elements, i'm gonna have to start dong that soon to I guess since I need them for STR tablets.

I think its much simpler
Buy some level 4 stuff cheap, some garment a weapon etc
than use destroyer rondo
and you get plenty of elements relativelycheap
once you find which gives most wind elements buy some more and destroy
the elements you do not use can be sold , probably you get more then the cost of buying equipment
have fun
