i thought when an elixir fails to give a + above 3 or 4, the item returns to +0, why did it get destoryed?

It can fail and go to 0 trying for +2 even. It gets destroyed after +5 IIRC.

Normally people say when you get over +4 there is a chance of destruction thats what immortal is for

You can start beating up the monsters with your fists. :p For 32k you can buy a shitty lvl 8 NPC glaive, but then you won't be able to afford trade items. Your choice. :p

i wasnt greedy, i was bored and was more bored grinding with a +6 lol.

Idk why a +6 isnt good enough for you. This reminds me of a time a guildmate sucesffuly +7'd a lvl 32 sos weapon and then tried +8 and it failed and he lost durability.

As for a new weapon, your guild should help you out.

i bought a lvl 35 +1 glavie for 110k, till i level up to 38 and look for a decent weapon. but yeah that glavie really messed me up.

i guess you can have 300k, send me a mail ingame when you get the chance(i'm hardly on ¬¬)

ouch... i dont like alchemy. i just play around when im really bored of grinding and usually with trashy items.
ps.: i used to have a bow lvl35 +3, i put inmortal and astral on it, then weapon elixir, then i got a brand new lvl35 bow +0. alchemy sometimes sucks really bad
