problem: got hacked
cutrrent: changed pass did full sys scan got gold loan from guild

all im asking is
can my acc get hacked again so ezy ?
is there much of a chance of me getting hacked again after all they do know my acc name :/
if anyone can give me some info ide appreciate that

If you have posted on the official forums before then everyone has access to your username. Looks like you've taken the necessary steps in cleaning/prevention just remember to change your pass often and make sure it has numbers in it, ex:

thats the thing i dont get it was numbers and letters i changed it like 3 days b4 i got hacked meh im not even gunna try to think of how they did it but it makes me think i have keylogger or sumthing on my comp but the sys scan came up with nothing thx for the help tho =D

hmm come to think of it yes i did some dude where i was grinding at on monday traded me and put a lv 50 wolf in there and said"need?" i told him no and kept grinding other then that nope he was the only trade ever scence i changed my pass and the next day i got hacked

Yes we are. Its best to only trade with people trhough stalls. Only party with guildiez/trusted peeps

Yea i'v been gatting shitload of party invites from random people.
So i set it to auto-deny -.-" And i only trade thru stalls as well.

holy shit a cow i never knew that could happen :s
so the best thing i can do is rebuild my chr and only pt with guild / union
and use stall as trade

What I found out is that alot of botters auto invites you for their parties.

BUT

This is something everyone should be aware of.

NEVER accept trades or pt's from random people.

So if someone begs for gold, don't open an exchange window with them even though you just want to fool with them and give 1 gold.

Just as the duped gold, JM have been told about it but keeps denying that it exist.

Try to get into pt's with people you know.
Always use a stall to exchange things with people you don't know.

A few things come to mind:

I understand you shouldn't accept arties and trades from random people, but what about using the party match system? I often go in there looking to join a 3/4 experience distribution party before I head out for a grind so I can get the experience bonus. Would that be an issue?

As for exchanging in stalls, how would that work? Say I want to trade a lvl 32 lunar blade with you for a lvl 32 glavie. The only way I can see to do it in a stall is for me to sell you the blade in a stall, and then you sell me your glavie for the same price. There's a lot that can go wrong with that deal.

Just form a party with your guild mates.

i accept trades and random parties all the time still not hacked and plus system scan may not detect a key looger theres alot of key loogers out there that are undetctable by things ned really good ones to find keyloggers sometimes

You'll only ever get hacked if......

1/ You have a weak password and you got bruteforced by people who got your username either from the leaked usernames that time or you use the official forums.

2/ You have the same username and password on a forum as you do in the game.

3/ You share your account with someone you "thought" could be trusted.

4/ You used a bot, even more dumb that #3.

There's no such thing as just getting randomly hacked, your either a victim of 1, 2, 3 or 4.

Don't be so sure about that. There's always a way to break into any system. Be it SQL injection attacks against Joymax's servers, or other things. If someone can find a way into the data, they can get what they want.

Yeah well if they could I'm sure they'd have done it already by now, if they could hack just anyone they wanted they'd target all the 70's, not random 40's and under.

I just dont see any other reason for high lvls from HeroesVN(botters) To invite me.

KomizDK let me use his 42 SOS sword yesterday and once i entered town i got SPAMMED with invitations.
So thats just weird.

And besides i dont like being in a party with random people lol only with my guild mates because i know they wont ditch the party like idiots >.<I hate forming new parties over and over again.

Well one thing comes to mind. IF the spam party invites you get are exp auto share, the people sending them might see your SOS and think you're higher level and/or can kill stuff fast, so they want to leach exp off of you. Could be a hacking attempt too I suppose.

I'm trying to change my password, but when I enter my details and click "change pw" I get directed to a blank page. Anyone else have this problem?

i know i m still a low lvl player but i got hacked. -.-" i logged off yesterday night and when i returned this evening, all my 600K+ golds are gone. -.-" i know its not much for higher lvl peeps but still. its alot for me.. and i dont pay $8 to earn 10Mil.. i earned it hard way.. -.-" and its so sad that my account has been hacked. i got really pissed.. didnt even know what to do.

I cannot really believe it.. hacked a lvl 13 char. -.-" this is not what i was thinking. Because of hackers like those.. we other players have less trusts with other trusted players. Its easy to gain trusts, but once its broken, its hard to amend it.

Even in this small games, it shows our characteristics.

id have to disagree with that

a brute is not a personn trying many differnt passwords that he can think

its a program that can go thu a 1000 differnt number passwords a minute
and over 100 words in the dictionary in under 10 seconds
your username and password can only be 12 chars long

get the program to run it self

program could gureentee that he gets that ussers password in inder 5 mins

o could someone find out how many differnt combinations u could have in a 12 number password and a 12 letter password (no numbers)

Well, someone from my clan got hacked he neither used this forum or the official one, never botted, din't have a wea kpassword or had any spyware on his computer, he just got hacked, like the post above me said theres no safety in sro. What annoy's me even more is that joymax doesn't even do anything about acc's getting hacked, you loose it it's gone, at least it was just a person who just stripped him and din't actualy change the details so he got it back, but still..

A 12 characters combinine letters+numbers will have..

36^12 = 4.738.381.338.321.616.896 different options.. will take years for someone to brute-force it. If you have such a pw the person that tries to 'hack' you will eather give up or try a different way to get your acount details
