There really isnt more to it than alchemy window, Item+elixir+lucky powder.

Ofc it will be easier with Astral and Lucky, but dont expect people to have secret ways of instantly getting +5 the legit way :o

EDIT: oh and i always do my alchemy on the same spot in hotan, and always put up a therapy ring before i do so ^_^

I realize it's based on randomness and probablity. But you can play into that probablity. Some people have extremely good luck with plussing.

I don't expect it be a secret way of plussing. But I am positive people do little things in hope of increasing their chances.

Haven't done +4 or above, but +3 works great with lucky powder for me.

i try to find a lag-free spot. in all reality, i can't think of a single reason why either graphical lag or server-side lag would affect the chance of plussing an item, but it makes me feel better if there isn't a little hitch between when i hit "fuse" and when i (hopefully) see the bright shiny flash of success in the left-side window.

i bought a new spear a week or so ago (crit 14 ftw), and i have gotten it to +6 2x, but failed +7 both times... i know it'll go to 7, but i don't have the money for more astrals atm, so i am holding off on it.

This glavie, several times, freezes like no other before it fails. The alchemy Shine actually holds for 2 seconds, then fails. And I know it is coming when I see that. (It's an SOS 64 Glavie). I also try to find a place where no one else is around and where the textures are not too extreme. I'm going to try turning my graphics all the way down after inspection is over.

(With the SOS items, I kinda like the Star to be moving faster, if it's slow, it's never a good time to plus)

someone else mentioned this star thing, and i have never noticed a difference (i have 4 pieces of SoS gear now). i always look at the sky and zoom all the way in, thereby minimizing the amount of textures my gfx card is rendering at the time of alchemy.

I do that also, eliminate my character model as well as any buffs I may have put on before then.

IMO I believe it's all random and that each char and/or item has a lucky/alchemy stat that isn't shown.

I've wasted over a page of elixirs and couldn't get my glavie +4, but when I lent my glavie to friend to +, he got +4 in just one go?! wtf

Anyways, I usually sit at the corner of building when I alchemy stuff.

I go to thief town. No lag there usually unless it's peak times.

i used up like 20 wep elixers , on the last three left i was like either i get it +3 or i am leaving this game for good it got +3. i also tried +3 my shiled with like 20 shiled elixers the last 6-7 elixers simply failed in a row.
i know i have bad luck usually but damn ;/

That is kind of my thoughts about it as well. I had a +3 bow and tried for +4.. it failed.. got it back to +3 and waited... failed again for +4.. got it back to +3 went straight to +4, added astral, went straight to +5... waited and it actually went to +6.. waited (again) and it failed to +7.. it is back to +5 (after forgetting to add more astral and it going back to +0). Hopefully I will make the +7 goal I have.

I have never tried to go over +5 and in saying that have only tried to +5 four items to which all worked. All without the assistance of lucky powder.

Im one of those people that have a habbit of goign around stalls and buying all the cheap high crit weaps i can find and reselling with +'s etc, and the first instances i would use powder it would 80%+ of the time fail.

i then started going +1(none)+2(powder)+3(none) which worked a few times and hasnt for a few weeks now so i thoguht id just try without. And sure enough its worked, but ive been plusing, grind for a while, + again, go back otu and grind and so on.

Items that fail for me after 2 attemps at +3 get resold at +2.

i cant even get this crit 10 64 blade to +3!! ive tried about 6 times...

maybe its one of those 'unlucky' weapons >_>

Used 50+ S elixirs to +5 shield make 4 times +4 and i stop there, unlucky

Used 17 acc elixirs and make my neck +5 very fast,in same day add 4 resistance to max 100%, next day i add 5int (3 stones) and 5str (5 stones).

hint: if one day u cant make all good,try other one,keep tyring until u get it to max,only losers quit !

i always close my eyes when i hit fuse
doesn't help anything but hey, i don't see that nasty black cloud then

+4. Never went +6 still. Failed so many times this morning it was a joke.

well i got a spot were ive +5 3 glavies all took 5 elixirs i think it helps. and my cuz got a spot were he can +4 armor in about 4 elixirs but im not going to say were To bad we cant find a +7 spot only got to +6 then it bombs

i do a lot of what suicide girl does... i dont look at the sky though i run towards a wall and make my character go right up to it... and then zoom all the way in... and then i do the alchemy quick as i can... made my 42 spear into a +3 without any lucky powders and didnt fail on any of em either i dont dare go above +3 though... too much risk and not enough money

To no avail.

This thing will NOT go past +5. And it was only plus 5 twice today, after... I don't want to go into how many astrals.

Any people who have had success with such a stubborn weapon/item, please let me know.

It's an SOS 64 Glavie and I know someone would appreciate it if I could finally get it +7.

If it continually fails going to +5, and even some b4 that, I'm afriad it's going to be a tought battle to +7. I'd tell them to "just" be happy with a 64 sos+5 >_>
