Hunter / Thief XP

Hey, guys, I'm new here. I've been using SRO-Forums and SRTavern, but SRTavern doesn't have a big community, and SRO-Forums is down... and ahs been for a while... you guys might know me as rdphoeniXexe from any of those two forums.

Anyways, I have a question, and here it is: :)
Is there anyway to obtain hunter or thief XP other than killing the other job? Because I like to do trade runs with my merchant friend as a hunter, and I do it for him for free (as all hunters are supposed to do... well, the nice ones anyways), and I don't get a single thing out of it. I was hoping that maybe if I killed the NPC thieves, that I would atleast get some hunter XP.

I heard that if its a 2-star trade run, the NPC thieves will give hunter XP? No idea... everytime he goes on a 2-star+ trade run, I kill the NPC thieves without a job suit on, for fear that the high-leveled thieves will kill me... like they always do.... (such asshles)

Anyways, thanks guys. If there's any other way, I'd like to know.

You can get thief experience by selling stolen goods at the Bandit Den.
As a hunter, you should get exp from any thief you kill (player or NPC) even if it's a 1 star trade.

yeah, i know, but then, like, i donned a hunter suit, and then a thief spawned, and i killed it, and i didn't get hunter XP at all. after that, i've gone on countless trade runs, never putting on my hunter suit, because i thought i didnt get any XP at all...[/u]

Killing one NPC thief gives very low hunter experience. It takes a while to change the percentage.

Hunter exp is the most harder to level up,so u need to kill more npc theif/player theif,or maybe escort 5* trader if u can do it :)

This is a wierd idea but is it possible during a sp farm insted of meaninglessly de-lvling u can chuck on ur theif suit and let ur mate kill u down recieving points?

Also Thiefs get penaltys for killing hunters dont they?

The only time you should really "delevel" when SP farming is when you are level 16 doing archers ;)

I love you!!

Yes many of us have been wanted its not hard to accomplish at all although rather annoying and IMHO a horribly designed aspect of the game.

going wanted is the fastest way to get rid of arrange points. It gets costly at higher levels though.

I got my hunter to level 2 by assisting on a few union multistar trade runs. 15-20 traders doing 5 stars with 15-20 hunters. It was hard work. Hunter exp is the hardest to get IMO.

How high were your Arrange Points last night passy?

For those who don't know, wanted status is reached when you hit 3000 Arrange Points.

You gain 150 Arrange points a kill(of a hunter/merchant/merchant transport). Your Arrange points go down 1 point every minute, so it's nearly impossible to wait it out if u can kill more than a few people.

Instead, to get rid of it, you need to die to a hunter. When they get your wanted(/arrest you), you need to pay a penalty. The higher the Arrange Points when you die, the higher the penalty is. It's usually, for me, at least 100k. I haven't been 10k + Arrange Points before, but I'm sure Passion has many times. She could tell you how high it goes.

'Nother question, how do I get the server to show up underneath my username? I feel like a noob right now.

One thing that i have noticed in my hunting times is that you HAVE to get the kill in order to get hunter exp. Well...you have to get the killing shot. I stood there when a thief spawned and let my buddy attack it till it was almost dead. I jumped in and got the last shot and i got the hunter exp. If we reversed rolls, and i took down most of the thieves HP but HE got the last shot, i didnt get squat. Something to keep in mind when your wondering why its taking so long to lvl your hunter with a pack of ppl.

I get my lvl 22 friend to do a 5* and stand in secret place, then I make a therapy ring and he goes afk... Best way to lvl in hunter! :D :D :D

I know mini, Fly and I have hit wanted status several times over before paying the penalty or taking off suit (mostly cause someone finally kills you and you drop it lol)

Passy has meh beat, I saw a SS with some ridiculously high arrange points on Tavern once.

Keep in mind if you recieve a high penalty and want to avoid paying it, keep your thief suit on, gain 3k ap and die.

Location should be where you live. Bad title for it. Should be server.

Don't .. me about a wrongly named aspect of the site.
