I think he was refering to my post that only gold botters are banned. The grinding botters in the cave are not...

LOL. Read topic name and what I said, again. They only blocked gold bots, not the botters who are in the cave.

Bots auto disconnect when a GM logs on, so it's probably harder than you think to catch them.

Bots like any other problem let you choose what you want it to do.

im sure it has a action that says to dc or not to dc.

If they d/c when a GM shows up, you get banned. Or at least it used to work that way.

Babel had 3 gold farming bots in the cave when I left.

If the bots auto disconnect when a GM shows up, then that is the most simple solution.

Have a GM character logged in all the time. Make a GM unique, have him spawn every 2 or 3 hours around the game. in different areas, this character could just be and interacting character.

I loled...Botters will be screwed in this way. But i am sure botters can auto-connect too

alot of bots like to babysit where they bot but actually here chattin and stuff...

However that destroy the purpose of botting. A botter is when he/she is away from the computer but a program helps them play. If they babysit it like that, they will not be able to bot 24/7

on a sidenote, on aege a player botter got banned named WhatTheHeo on Varsity guild! Most players on that new guild come from _NuocNam_ and with the previous banlist their player _eZ_ got banned as well

so there you have it, one player botter in cave down many more to go!

Granted, in the least JM is doing something. But after several attemps, has it been effective or futile?

Banning gold bots free's some of the server space but I'm sure they will return under another variant which is futile. The greater concern to most players is not gold bots, who are mostly ignorable, but partial botters who as time goes by become fully farmed at 70 are becoming more legit.

The most frustrating thing is that after JM makes a great game with lots of potential but they don't service it or maintain it in good conditions. Consider it like making the Statue of Liberty only to have birds shit over it completely...people will still come to see it but god damn it...

Yes. Because they did nothing. They just block some gold bots who dont even KS just so they could say they blocked someone. So people would buy silk again. BLOCK PLAYER BOTS!

We appreciate your frustration but posting something like this doesnt get anything done. Why not educate people into how to report a bot and ask people to do something like that instead of moaning about how bad the issue is.

Were all aware that SRO is full of botters and shouting about it wont help .Try being pro-active about it
