Would a queue system help SRO?

I know I'm not the only person who gets pissed off after spending hours trying to log onto SRO and then know of people who can just try once, get lucky and get in. I was brainstorming ways to help this and I heard of the way WoW does it. They've got a queue where you go into and just wait to move up and eventually get in. I know that at times of high server traffic this may not be awesome, but at least you know you're going to get in eventually. I think that would make logging in much less stressful for all of us.

So, going back to the title: Do you think this could be a good idea?

What do you like more, the allusion of being able to get in at any time right now, but can't or the following:

"You are # 2500 out of 5000 in the queue. Estimate wait time: 2 hours"

[Edit] Haha, Lance and I are on the same page.

"Autologin" does not mean automatically login. It's more of a "login retry" program. So if you try once and get that "D/C from server", it relaunchs SRO, enters your name/pass, and click Start for you.

The purpose is to automate the login process to the servers, there's nothing different between that and doing it manually other than the effort required ;)

a good ol' login script would be nice.. anyone here a decent programmer :P.

or when we log in... it kicks someone whos been afk for 10mins or more (execption of stallers) or kicks botters

but.. why cant they just have it so it doesnt crash when you cant login, thats what does my head in the most. Why cant it just keep sro open ffs...

don't you even know that the "Disconnected from Server" message if for the safety of our accounts... so nobody could use a bruteforce program to steal somones account...

then why, when you type in the wrong password does it say 'invalid id/password' and not disconnected from the server? that isn't what it's for...

Maybe they need to just make regional servers instead of new ones for everybody. That way its all Americans on one server, all Europeans on another, etc etc.

I been beta testing LoTR online and they do a queue. Its actually pretty sweet. You don't see an estimated time just a number. Even when you over 1000+ it only takes about 15 mins to get in. It refreshes every 13 seconds.

I would like to see the same for silkroad. At least to start it and then do something else while you wait, instead of sit there and manually re-try.
