hy ppls, last night i tried to login but my password was changed...i tried to change it but somebody changed also the email adress of the account so i cant do anything.....
I DONT CARE ABOUT ALL MY ITEMS AND GOLD, i just want my character back..is there a posibility to get it back? if i write to joymax can they help me, will they help me?

There's no way they could have done it unless you did download ANY external program pertaining to SRO. Or possibly if you asked somebody to buy silk for you, ebay gold.. there's a lot of things. But nobody can just randomly hack you.

he is afrined of mine....he has a lvl 60 character..why whold he hack my account?

i forget to mention the one who hacked me gave all my SoS.SoM items and gold to a friend from my friend list who was online......i didnt lost too much....just some elements and some elixires,some globals, a GT, squirrel and a clock.......but i lost my full farmed character!!!

-Not everyone gets their info stollen through a key logger.
Ive "downloaded" "not botted with" almost every bot program out
and ive never been hacked.

When they changed the official forums around they did something wrong and accidentally released everyones usernames but not the passwords so for months these hackers have just been randomly bruteforcing peoples accounts. So everyone is at risk, the only thing you can do is have a good password that's pretty much unbruteforceable.

Bad Pw's:

One single word, A word and a number, a bunch of numbers.

These can be done very quickly.

A mixture of numbers and letters like d5am20ch38v4 just a random example of the kinda pw you should have.

And obviously don't share your account with anyone for anyone reason regardless of how much you trust them, don't download bot programs, if you can't play properly don't play at all, use party match and don't accept random partys, just play it safe and you should be okay.

Hahaha thats almost funny.. I never downloaded an illegal sro program nor gave out my login. So maybe the day pigs learn to fly i will loose my account?

Yep sad but true. I can verify this because i spoke to the guy who bruteforced VodkaHN's account on babel. (a vn ccfer)

Anyway if you wrote on http://www.silkroadonline.net's forums, your ID is already out in the open, and i suggest you keep a long password

Yeah... most people that get hacked don't actualy bot or buy gold, they just get hacked cause of their easy passwords, after julie and my dad got hacked they changed their passwords to be alot less hackable as did most of the rest of our clan. Then another one of our clannies got hacked, I was quite suprised cause i'm sure he has quite a secure password.

People shouldn't just be accusing people of hacking of buying gold just cause they got their acc hacked, if you think that way, your just retarded.

Sad to see people get hacked…… damn game protection

even if you have the longest hardest password, your password will be deciphered still.... all you need is if possible your account name will not be on public or no one will ever know it other than yourself, brute forcer has code diaries, even if you have weird password still you are in danger, only thing joymax Safeway to do is to blocked IP of a user who attempted to login in the site for about 5-6 error login both WEBSITE and Client, and in case of dynamic IP's they can request an unblock if they have a valid excuse or stuffs, u cant prevent crypt's to get your password but you CAN at least make there job hard... JM need to implement ASCII password supports, even though it’s a pain in the ass to key in every time you login and get DC on a server traffic message, but still its better to be safe….

These shows that they don’t need to have hard time to guess your password all they have to do is get your login name and put it on brute forcer then go to mall or something while there script is trying to decipher your password and test a login at silkroad site, after about an hour they have your password simple...

joymax is making rookie hackers way of hacking gamers account easy........
they need to give them challenge somehow that only pro’s can try crack.... but.. pro's wont even bother cracking SRO that they can only get at least max of 50$ for a jackpot account 50$ is not worth to be chased down by FBI IMO

Point is:
JOYMAX make your GAME safe ffs. People pay hundreds of dollars for silk.. Isn’t it just right if customers demand for some more security? OMG there are at least 75% of I.T. graduates unemployed still… they need to employ more GM and personnel’s.. not just adding more and more servers T_T

Short Story:

I have a friend in game who got hacked thru this way, a guy on msn tried to have chat his nephew that guy ask for JUST his uncle real name and favorite food and pets name because he won on some lotto or something… and the guy need some simple questions, as his kid nephew was just trying to help he told the guy some info…. But didn’t give a single character of his uncle’s password cause he himself don’t even know what the hell is Silk road game, and he was thinking that he is not saying any sensitive information’s cause he is aware that his mother told him not to tell anyone about bank account numbers so he was thinking what the hell is with Arnold “dogs name” and Pasta “his uncle fav food” and his uncle’s full name? so on his innocents…

The hacker already know my friends account name… so in just 2hr short.. someone was on my friend’s account…. Lucky it was his stall account so nothing important was lost…

ok, let me explain....i buy silk from a very ggod friend, every time i buy silk from him i change my pass, he doesnt know my secret answer(its not an answer related to the question) and yes, 2 of my best friends know my pass, they use sometimes my account to kick some asses in PvP(i know i am just lvl 42 but full farmed with sos+3,4,5 equip and a SoM+5 42 glavie) BUT they dont know my secret answer! so its almost impossible to change my Pass.....and the one who "hacked" me changed the pass and also the email adress of the sro account(its an email adress specialy made for the game, nobody knows it....) so i cant change my pass any more to reuse the acc....
The good thing is that he transfered all my sos/som stuff and gold to a frined that was online and i didnt lose so much....my friend sayd that i was so strange, i said: TAKE THE STUFF. i quit sro, take it and make some money.....thats why he took al my stuff. now i have all my stuff on my new account/caracter, and I DONT GIVE MY PASS or anyhting else to ANYBODY!!! it will be my little secret

i am mad cause i lost 3 moth of hard grinding and farming............

BTW i didnt downloaded any bot program and i didnt bought gold cause a good frined of mine quit sro and gave me 39 mil
