For everyone who says i cannot get in or is there a problem please read this for your answer

Silkroad is a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Play Game) Now im trying to make the word Massive stand out here

The servers tend to be always full on isro as its the most used out of all the silkroads this means the servers Max capacity will be met most days even when not in peak hour

When it says Cannot Connect Due To Server Trafic it literally means Were full and When it disconnects you it is screaming Were full at you

It wil not help to rank on any forum and eventually members are going to get very edgy with the many people saying is there a problem i cant get in and so on it does not help anyone

Yes we all have had the same problems iv spend hours some days trying to connect and sometimes even giving up

The only real thing you can do is keep trying or come back later on the night where maybe there will be room and servers become populated or quit silkroad if you do not have the patients to log in you wil most likely have the patients it takes to get Cap.

Update Lag

This is the worse kind of lag often been up to or over 1minute NO MATTER your isp service provider

The Lag is caused by simple bad planning of there services and there update server is interwinded with the game play servers but it is cause by 1000's of people downloading at once

This lag is usually only around for a day but can last longer depending on the time, date and whats going on around the world i.e. chrismas and thing like that meaning not a lot of people should be on thus many wil download a day after this.

Please bare with this no matter what



?????? Error

The well know ????? Error is a glitch in the games graphics or often your graphics card too this cannot be helped and will happen regualarly especially in donwhang where there is an error in the town with the game graphics that causes the ???? error

There is nothing you can do about this error so live with it, it is tuff luck that it catches you in peak time

No Start Button Recent Event Problem for those who stil have it

There is no start button due to demand the server cannot cope.

But if you want to get the update keep exiting and opening sro until you get it but be warned the servers wil be laggy and it may be best just to wait

Yeah its a mmorpg, but i've never known one have traffic problems like this before. The fact its free is why there is problems. It means:
1) Its popular with people who don't want to pay a monthly subscription
2) Its popular with people who can't pay a monthly sub. ( no credit card/not old enough to own one)
3) Being free means you can flout the rules without worrying about loosing real money and getting banned. ie botters / cheaters / scammers / ccf'ers.

just felt with the event comeing up that there are going to be a sudden serge of these threads maybe this wil help people make less

usual crowded hours for venice
mon-thur 7am-4pm est time
fri-sun 6am-6pm est time

i got on today and saw oasis still crowded and it was like 9pm est time

when event starts ima see crowded all day i bet lol

i think OASIS is the worse with server traffic.
its like 7am-6pm est time peeked ... constantly..

Thanks for bringing this up wong. the times when it says populated(meaning less crowded) should be ideal for most, except for those that work nights. Most people are in school or at work, unles you are unemployed and playing 24 hours day. Also one other thing. The more you try to act like a rabbit on crack and try to login so fast the letters on your keys are coming off the more times you will get the disconnected from server message. Take some time people. Most attempts is 5 for me. Let it get to login screen type out your name and password. then wait a minute, hell go grab a soda, then try. Doesnt work all the time, but 90% of the time it does.. well thats all

Just one of those things that many MMO's go through so you just have to deal with it. A thread to keep it all in once place would keep it more organized.

It's good being in Australia, the uncrowded times are 9am-9pm during the week, and 11am-7pm on weekends. Also helps being a uni student so I get days off during the week. I wouldn't mind the traffic so much if there was something that would keep trying to log you in once you put your details in, or at the very least if you didn't have to keep restarting the game everytime you get the "disconnected from server" message.

Isn't it weird how Xian is less crowded than Oasis now? I mean if I knew it was going to be like that, I would have played on Xian on the start.

These servers are the most crowded now, even after peak hours they are still listed at crowded: Troy, Oasis, Aege, and Athens.

it is massive, it holds more than triple the amount a cs 1.6 server can hold

This is at 11:40 PM - PACIFIC TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is when the servers are suppose to be at the lowest peaks.

ya recently oasis has had a surge of people join it
ive had troubles at the middle of quiet times which is like 9 and 10 pm my time it still takes me about 5 trys
2 or 3 weeks ago i would of gotten in first try from 4pm - 2am and now it takes me a ton even at these times
why did this happen to oasis?

I don't know about you guys, but I noticed that the servers have been really full after the rollback. Prior to the rollback, I could get on in 1 try from 1 pm PST through to 2AM PST. Now I can't even get one without getting a "Cannot connect due to server traffic". It seems like the downtime for the servers are between 4 pm PST and 11 pm PST on Athens. I expected a surge of traffic on the first few days after the rollback because I know there are n00bs out there that don't read notices. Notices like the exp event will start AFTER the next maintenance period. It's been like what, 5 days since the rollback? You'd think servers would be LESS full b/c people are going to school and what not. It just frustrates me alot because I get d/ced whenever I go to DW and only in DW. And when I'm in DW, it's because I'm going to grind, but more likely because of jobbing. Nothing is worse than trying to get back into a fight but you get the pesky "Cannot connect due to server traffic" BS.

Anybody have any other theories as to why the servers that are crowded CONTINUOUSLY are....crowded continuously. Athens used to go to populated status in the late evening PST time, but I have not seen populated status since the rollback. Instead of seeing more servers, I'd like to see better support for the current servers. I don't know anything about how gaming servers work, but I'm certain that there are solutions to server overpopulation and how to expand the servers. Why should I be paying money for my monkey/squirrel if I can't even get in to Joymax's server that I play in. Joymax never fixes their problems, they just try to move to the next step and turn a blind eye. Oh wait, maybe this has something to do with the botters =/ I haven't grinded with this char in the caves because they are full of botters. I heard from a guildy that this one room has 4 botters in it for 5 straight days atleast. I don't know about you, but I'm disgusted. Don't tell me the GMs don't see this, because they certainly must be able to see something is wrong. Is it really that hard to click the ban button? lol

Im plannin to QUIT SRO jus for this.... Im so passionate about this game.. but... there is no point...

I think i wuld switch on to someother game... which doesnt have this problem...

There is then just one thing I dont understand.. Some people will always get in within the first 5 tries (at every time) while others trying for over 1hour and still dont get in (at the same time as that other guy/girl)??0.o

damn traffic makes me want to not play silkroad at all. I mean i could sit here and continously try to connect for an hour or so, or i could just go play another game. Thats why i havent been playing much lately, not worth the time trying to connect

It's gonna be seriously crowded when event comes out..good thing I have half term from college, i'll try log on straight after maint comes off to avoid having to try connect like..4232472393857092975 times to get on to the game.

Most of the time, I can get on in the morning for me about 6-7pm is good after 1pm my time it starts to get crowded.

I agree. Yesterday I tried to get in Greece for 6 hours,of course I had breaks in between but didn't get on (+ it was on a crappy computer :p)
When I tried on Xian I got in on the first few tries. I thought Xian would be more crowded than Greece.
Even around 9-12am my time Greece and a few other servers are already crowded o.O

I can't imagine what it's going to be like when Winter Break comes around and then maybe we might get a Christmas even like last year. Dam..then the servers will be REALLY crowded 24/7.

just when i thought i had all the peaks hours figured out on troy......

i just found it abnormal that troy is soo dang crowded. for the past few months, it was never like that.....population boom?

maybe botters starting new characters because they CAN make more than one lvl 60 character when the event starts?

that was funny got soo bad they put account lock on none could make new accounts or charecters

I must be one of the lucky ones who don't need to spend much time login in , even when I'm on older servers to see how old friends are doin'

they just bring out new servers if they make the servers bigger then need to redo all the maps and land to fit mroe people

My dc is fixed now

look on yours router or modem and test it different way ..if some have connection problems you perhaps most buy new one...This is olmost all problem when you not cant get in to server..
