Hi guys,
actuly Im new and made an Pure str ARCHER and folowed the guide here (about skills i did only the basic archer skills and went Ice and got walk gras skill of lighting), but why my archer is weak?, is that because i have NPC ARMOR and Weapon?
Im lvl18 at the moment but i feel i die fast.
anyways may be may archer will improve later?,when i get to lvl20 and get fire skills and the others as the guide says?
or should i get different weapon and different skills?
all these questions on my head anyone can answer or explain to me please!!!cause Im really confused and dont know what to do!?!?!?

Euhm, I'm sorry but start over and take glavie or something if you want to be pure str. But then you need to use fire instead of cold. Then you do way more dmg.

well, the npc stuff might have something to do with it...


but if you dont want to die fast, start a blader.

The NPC gear definitely has something to do with it.

It has 0 stats for everything doesn't it? And no Blues?

At level 70 I know an archer pure STR who pwns a pure INT spear character (which frustrates him hehe).

Go Fire not Ice if you want to keep it.

If you feel your archer is weak, then yes, it's because of the NPC gear.

If you are dying a lot, then something is definitly wrong, especially if you are a pure Str character. Do you use auto-pot? If so, what are the settings? Are you taking enough pots to grind in the first place?

I'm thinking the build is fine, there's something else that is wrong.

i don't use auto-pot (how i can use it and what i should put the settings on?),Iam just a normal archer but I agree with u i should get anther gear but i feel all the same and see the glavie are damn fast with kill all kind of mobs.
and till now Im confused should i keep going and be an archer with some good advices?or should i start new charcter? (glavie or blade of course)

Autopot is in character options, actions, then right click on auto-pot. I think its the last icon in the top row not sure.

Being a 6x archer, i can kill faster than a blader, and grind easier than the other str builds.

If you like being an archer, then be one, don't change because someone says otherwise.

Oh yeah, stop getting npc gear around 2x-3x.

cool and may be i will listen to u cause i love archers to be honst but as u see the other replies are just confusing lol.
and about the gear what gear should i get and how?,
I tried to get a good gear from STALLS but all seems clean and expensive,
I dont know how to get with that problem it seems I will be a noob for ever

If you don't want to die - go blader. But remember it takes you jsut as long to kill someone as it does someone to kill you. You tank a shitload, but you can't deal great damage.

I was an archer from 1 to 66 so I can tell you that being an archer, gears are a must. Dont ever ever ever ever use NPC gears, always buy from stalls because almost 100% of the time the dropped gears will be better then NPC.

And absolutely under NO circumstances should you EVER use an NPC weapon...

thank u very much for ur advice , and btw Im using Garment Gear and bought them from STALLS but is it ok if its clean (no blue on it)?
i have 100k gold atm and dont wanna spend that much cause i will need a new weapon as i level up.
any more advices?

switch from ice imbue to fire imbue, get a good bow with crit at least 9 or higher, and turn on autopot, buy a lot of pots, and you should be good to go man

Don't use a NPC weapon! o_o. The worst weapon I used was a +3. And everything else was basically SoS.

And err.. like people stated, your armour too. >_>

Archers are unique. I wouldn't change if I were you. Everyone else is basically a glaiver, blader, nuker, or whatever.

stay archer, there is a serious lack of them since all seem to switch to some other weapon.
And they rock in group PVP

Since most people are well protected from ice the ice imbue is garbage(IMO).
Always use fire imbue.
I dont even see any reason to use other imbues
Ice is super weak and the frostbite aint that useful anymore and lightning is OK but it barely paralyzes at all :\ And even if it does its not gonna last for too long if pills are used.
Well unless you are TOO farmed and have nothing to spend your SP on lol.

My friend changed his main mastery 3 times: started as heuksal-glavie, then at lvl3x changed to bowmanship, and not so long ago at lvl52 converted himself to blader

Im currently lvl19.

On this moment I'm a lvl30 archer int hyb, something that every one on the forum say its the worst combination (and I use garment). From my knowledge so far I can tell you that using the ice imbue only some orange or the taoist (that fire from distance) can touch me before I kill them. That is fighting monster only, later if you play against a real player with autopot pils medium o large he will probably kill you before you take half of his life.

So, to grind and kill agro mobs you go much faster with the bow than the others and you have to rest less or use less pots. But if you are planning being a thief and kill other players you are probably on big problem (any good player will have autopot universal pils). I start as an archer and I will finish as an archer, but I know that it has some deffects.

Use hand to hand combat. Your bare hands are your best weapons.

As said before. Do not use NPC gear, and never dare to buy any NPC weapon. You should go for crit 9+ as pure str.

You should pay around lvl * 1k - 5k for normal gear.

I got an 4X hybrid str archer with ice imbue and I love it.

It doesn't make you kill faster. You kill slower. But you get hit less.

BINGO!

fire does more damage than ice. fire also has passives/buffs that help increase your damage. My archer changed from ice to fire in the late 40's and I was much happier, should have done it a long time before.

Everybody dies. Some die faster than others. Everybody levels slow. Some level slower than others. Everybody kills. Some kill less than overs.

My spells don't even get interrupted.

So PVE all the way for you, and less damage to me. I like it.

I don't PvP because you got always people whining about things.

Anyhow point being.. There is nothing wrong with ice imbue if you are pure PvE because it helps a lot (add a little harmony therapy circle in it and you got a winner)

ok guys here just take a look at what i wear and tell me what should i buy at lvl19 cause i didn't yet:

new bow, the crit is only 2...

bow sucks. I leveled to 70 before I found that out lol. useless in pvp/war unless your targeting Int chars only. I spent 70 bux or so to switch to blade and I couldnt be happier.

U might be happier and all, one thing’s just not true, bow doesn’t suck. All weapons are usefull in they’re own way, for bow this is a supportive way. Anyone whom wants to go bow, should be able to go for it without being discouraged by other people. Remember: They’re experiences might differ from yours.
