Is the game at a point where "new servers" aren't

I've noticed on Rome, the economy is nothing like anything I've seen on all the previous servers. In fact, it seems as if the economy is at a stage of being close to a "stable" economy. Here's the trends that I'm seeing that brought about this thread:

Rome (open for 6 days now):

- Weapon Elixers have been at an average of 150k with many people selling close to 200k. People are asking to buy for lower, but few are actually selling at that. Other elixers: Acc 25-30k, Prot 30-40k, Shield 30k.

- SOS weapons are priced to that a "stable economy" would permit. SOS 16s are >500k, SOS 8s are around 250k, and SOS 24s are at minimal 1.5M. I've yet to see any higher level weapons myself. Sure, there are some people that don't know the real value of some, so you'll see a sos 16 bow for 300k (the one I lost due to the rollback) and as of recent 600k (missed buying that one).

- Other SOS pieces are what I'd say "normal price", I had to spend a small fortune getting all my low level farming stuff.

- In 3 days, the server was "filled" during peak times. On Alps, it took at least 2 weeks, and then it only took a few tries.

Now I'm sure there are a few other things here and there that as well as other things that still show this is a "new" server.

My thoughts are that there are so many people switching to new servers that from here on out, the "new" servers won't be that "new" anymore because of a more experienced player base. This of course is a good and bad thing. It's good in the fact that the server will mature a lot faster but bad in the fact it takes away from the idea of a new server.

What does everyone else think about this?

Those are actually the running prices at Athens. Stuff use to be more expensive (weap 240k min), but since the alchemy update those are pretty much the prices. In my eyes those prices would be WAY to much for a server a couple weeks old.

The main difference I would say about Athens is for some strange reason, lvl 16-24-32 SoS weapons have started going up over the last week or so. A month ago, I could not sell my SoS 16+1 Spear, several blue and Crit 11, for 750k...now the cheapest I have seen in stalls for 16 SoS is 1.1 mil. Also, 24 SoS were running between 1.6 - 2 mil...now I am seeing them stalling for 2-3 mil. Also, a few weeks ago, when I was trying to sell my 32 SoS Glaive, I got 4.5 mil at +2...now clean ones are selling for 5 mil or more, with +3 going for as much as 7.5 mil.

Now, I am not saying you can put a spear or something in your stall and sell it in 5 mins or less, but if people are patient they are selling them for outrageously high amounts.

Just what I have noticed...getting a bit carried away, if you ask me.

Yeah new servers will do that because of a simple factor considering people arent THAT high level on new servers, So they wont Have that much money,
So they sell crud for cheaper because people arrent Millionaires on new charetcers on the new servers because tey dont have a level 70 char on the same account to give them $$$. :D
On oasis how ever, theyres overpricing, stal scams, spammers, spam bots, thief suit hoaxes, trader flag hoaxes,SoS cape scams and so on.

I agree with the fact that Athen's SoS weapons are alot more expensive these days. I saw sos 16 farming bows go in a stall for 7M! A clean one was 4.5M. Now I'm sure they didn't actually sell for 7M but probably somewhere around that mark. I don't see why should the price of items go up when the number of items increases day by day. I saw lv 8 SoS spears and glaives go for 1.2M, what's the deal with that? I would say they should go for 300k max.

As for Drew's concern/question, be glad that your prices are low for now and play hard. I wish prices were that low in Athens lol. By the way, how is the lag on the server? I don't know about you other Athenians out there, but I have been having pretty bad lag. I live on the west coast and prior to sept, 12:00 pm and on, the servers weren't clogged. Now when I try to get on at around that time, it takes me forever to get in. Even at 2:00 pm it still might take a few tries. Maybe it's just me or people think the event started right after server boot up, but I don't think it takes people more than 2 days to realize that the event isn't on. Hell, I don't think it takes more than a minute to realize that....wait a second...I'm not getting any more exp/sp than I was prior.

Probably one of the reasons prices are getting high in Athens are the fact there are many capped rich players.
What to do with the money? Collect yourself a nice set of 'anything' sos

+ since there aren't much players joining no more there is no new input of dropped sos stuff...
Right now if you start on Athens on know no-one you will not be able to find any descent gear. There are hardly 10 stalls in whole Jangan.
