Bug abuse is against JM's rules right?

I am assuming bug abuse is against JM's rules. If so, how does no one worry or get in trouble when they de-level themselves?
Example: A lvl 25 has a friend kill him several times until he is down to lvl 16...yet his strength and intelligence stay at the lvls they were at during level 25. This is how it works, right?
That'd be a bug I rekon.

No it's just how they designed the game. Or A LOT of people would be banned because that's how a lot of people sp farm.

i don't think this really qualifies as a bug, it's to prevent people from distributing stat point haphazardly then using delvl as a way to redistibute them because they weren't careful the first time around

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm......
That's insane, I find it somewhat hard to believe that they purposefully programed the game like that. I mean it's possible, but I doubt it still. I mean theoretically one could delevel from 60 to 30 and get then lvl to 70...and annihilate 99% of the other gamers. I mean it would take someone with absolutely no life, but hey thats what MMO's provide in plenty(no lifers).

I think your a bit confused.
If you were say... lvl 20 with 50 int 50 str. As you know you get 1 int 1 str every level, then 3 to distribute yourself. If you de-leveled to lvl 16, you then have 46 int and 46 str. The only stats you would keep would be the ones you distributed.
Then, when you did level upto lvl 17 again, you wouldn't get those 3 points to distribute yourself, so, a level 25 who has de-leveled to 16 and back, wont be any strong than a 25 that hasn't.
Hope that all made sense. And I hope I am indeed right.

If that's the case, why de-level?

i believe criterion was pointing out an exploitation of a bug which is used just as commonly as delvling.... he was not involved with the gold duping, and was not banned
