This evening around 10:00 my time, a hacker loaded the character empaZ from the guild Fable, and proceeded to drop all of his items from both inventory and storage outside of Jangan.

He murdered a noob on the account, and then logged it off.

I spoke with him about it, he was very polite and well-spoken I must say. He hacked empaZ's account because empaZ botted and used the bot server to log in to SRO. He did not delvl the account.

Sorry for your loss empaZ, but the botting thing.....sad.

so besides posting a phishing webpage , or hiding a keylogger in a bot download there is a way to hijack botter accounts through the bot server?

I read on tavern before something like if a subscriber to the bot program doesnt pay for a month , than the bot company considers it an "inactive account" and will sell the acc information. I dunno if there are such acc lists out there, but that doesnt sound too farfetched

@all the Babelites Since when is it that only YOU may comment on or understand the events that occur on other servers? When the events that transpire on Babel affect me on Xian, it's kinda my business as well. I cannot believe the audacity of you asking that someone NOT from Bable refrain from commenting on threads in a general discussion forum. Last I looked, that is what it says at the top. I'm on Alps server playing with my Nuking chat atm but i still have a 4x char on babel and i know most of the people on SRF from Babel. Well chaby the other option is that it really was empaZ. That just means he decided to go out with his own bang. At the same time admitting he botted. Either way it busts the cover of the "legit" guild.

cuchulainn while I may not always agree with NB, and have voiced that disagreement several time on the various duper threads, this time she hit the nail dead square on the head. chaby got PWNd and doesn't even understand why.

I'm getting sick of all this bot spam. I don't care who bots in which guild, so long as they get banned eventually. Nightbloom, I have to say that most of your comments recently have done absolutely nothing to add any value to these forums. All I see is hate and accusations. I'm not sticking up for botters, hackers or exploiters, but I know that it's hard to keep botters out of even small guilds. Unless anyone knows any of these people in real life, or see some really obvious botting then there's know way of knowing just who's doing what, who is 'legit', who is lying or what is just a vicious rumour. For crying out loud, it's a game!

Look at when I joined this forum. It was then a nice, sweet, kinda noobie forum with nice, sweet kinda noobie ppl on it. We all went like that for a long time, happy as clams.


Then Chaud and his ilk showed up here.


Now look at us. I am glad he is banned, glad he is exposed and cant wait for him to go. Maybe SRF will go back to the way it was. My fingers are crossed. Yes I am crowing about his downfall. I am doing what Chaud usually does and poking my nose into all his stupid drama and putting my gleeful stamp on it.
