Silkroad Online Forums

My computer is finished. It will not load up to the desktop, as a matter of fact, it won't do anything.

So, my father-in-law has given me his extra laptop to use. I have installed silkroad, and checked to make sure all drivers are current, but I can still not play silkroad.

I launch the game and it gets past the game guard, but then I get took back to the desktop with the following error:

"Microsoft Visual C++Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\Silkroad\sro_client.exe

abnormal program termination"

Here's what I am using:
Hewlett-Packard
HP Notebook PC
Intel (R)
Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.00GHz
2.00 GHz, 1.00 GB of RAM


If I need to post anything else, just let me know. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you...

hiya mrs spud, I had that same problem after the last big update. I had to update my graphics card driver to the current one from the makers site and not the ones from the official sro site.

try that. I think I also remember seeing one or two threads about it here in the technical section. I'd find them now but am just heading off to get dinner organised. Will have a look for them when I get back.

I know I've seen that error before, cant remeber what I did bout it though. Anyways good luck.
