I bought my friend a lvl 24 sos blade yesterday and i used up 9 elixers getting it to +3. Today, he was grinding at the south entrance of DW and a npc thief comes out of nowhere and kills him. His sos drops... I can't believe how unlucky he is... not to mention the money i spent on it. Sigh.

Nice story... exept for the fact that U cant drop a wepon... when u die.. so yah.. but once again nice story

Yes you can drop a weapon when you die, I have seen it happen(I have caused it), to a mob, but I duno if npc thieves are an exception.

I dropped level 32 blade once when i was murderer..

Yes before it WAS possible, To drop a wep. but now they made it so u can drop ANYTHING else but not ur equiped wepon

IT CAN AND DOES HAPPEN. How do I know? Happened to me twice when I was low lvl and grinding at bandit archers. Also, guild member dropped his bow just a few weeks back

Yes you can drop your weapon it can and does happen happend to me when i was farming bandit archerz dropped my 16 SOM bow

unlucky is 50 astrals later still +4

i thought u could only drop if u got killed by a very very higher lvl mob

my fella droped his glavie 64+5. killed by thief NPC.

hunter/trader has more chances drop their weapon whlie jobing. i think

You can only drop things in your inventory, not armor or weapons or accesories equpped.

I sp farmed during a month between august and september 2006 and i deleveled from almost lvl 18 to 16 everyday, with all my items equipped, i just emptied my inventory before going out to donwhang.

An estimate of the times i died to delevel during all the process would be:
3,600 times, in those 3,600 times i died outside of donwhang, been killed by earth ghosts and meek gunpowders, and gunpowders nothing from my equipped items dropped
