I was wondering, how did you guys get in contact with sro?

I remember never ever playign an mmo before, but having this really weird freind who downloaded atleast 5 a day. He recommended it but I was liek jeez SilkRoad sux and what not. Yet I have grown a passion for silkroad because of that dude. In one way thankfull, cause I met some interesting people, on the other hand I am lacking in certain fields in my social life now =/

LOL well this is very sad, ages ago i used to play this game called R.O.S.E. online and it was my first ever mmorpg. Then they made the game so that you had to pay for it so i couldn't play anymore...as i was only about 11 at that time...then a while after a disovered a new game called FlyFF which was a little bit like R.O.S.E. but was definatletly not as good. After not playing FlyFF for ages due to not being able to log in (servers too crowded basically impossible to log in) i stopped playing mmo's for ages then i saw a sro article in a forum (i forget which forum) and i donloaded it and here i am. lol well yeah

My friend Sean Coldewey was trying to hang out with me. (He lives in iwoa i live in cali). So we were like "DUDE Lets play an MMO!!!11"

I hated mmo's at that time. I had only played GunZ (which I cant get to work anymore) and uhm. Gunbound.

SOoo yea. he was like lvl 21. and when I saw him i was all "DUUDE your armor is SOO COOL!!! I bet you're the strongest guy on the server right??"

And we were on XIAN ahahahah.

Took me a month to get to lvl 20. then i quit that char.

Now im on olympus.

I quit playing from March until July. because the "Item Mall" was installed on the game and I didnt want to pay for the game.

Anywho. so here I am now. my friend is souless_one in the guild, when you join it Plus.

Somebody was spammin about this game on the Rakion Forum back in Nov. 2005. I checked it out and I've been playin' ever since.

My friend played it for a while... he was like lvl 16 or 18 and i thought: omfg this is the most boring game in the whole world... i will never play this...

Then he got to lvl 20 and he could ride a camel! well that was why i wanted to play itXD So i thought: what the heck i will download it too and will see if i like it...

After a few months i was lvl 41 and he 28 lol^^

This was in january 2006... (beginning of this year) had that char, other lvl 42 char and a lvl 43 char that got hacked... now lvl 25 again...

But this is how i began to play silkroad! Glad i installed it^^

Silkroad was dugg once at http://www.digg.com. It got like 2500+ diggs, so i tried it out.

Friends' reccommendation. We used to play UT2k4 before he got reccommendation from another friend of his. So yeah basicallt when we stop playing UT for the day , we switch over to SRO, which explains the reason for my low level after 4 months of playing it.

I was in school.. Bored like hell and a friend of mine started playing SRO. SO I was like? Wtf is that. He kinda (not very good) explained to me what it was and how it worked. So I downloaded the installer, and made a char. (a real crappy hybrid bow on oasis, didn’t even know I was hybrid lol, it was weak). My friend rerolled and we went to lvl 14 together that day. Been hooked ever since. (and ofcourse rerolled to :p)

SOmeone told me that Peenerener and lemon were playing this game and I was all like OMG, I GOTTA PLAY TOO!


Seriously.. A bunch of us came here together from another game called Ferentus. CC is still in my guild today. A friend of ours told us about it and we were all kinda smitten.

I dont remember, I think I saw it somewhere...

search for a member called ziggy me and him found it through another game forum

I was at my friend's and he was downloading SRO and he told me he heared this game is good and he wanna try it out so when he finally installed it we connected on our 1st try but the game was lagging BAD!
So i just told him this game sux bawlz and he should just delete it lol XD
Then i get home and he calls me askin to download it too -__- so im like "yea whatever" so he linked me and when i downloaded it didnt lag as bad anymore ^.^ So i liked it and play it till today :D

Well i was playing Mu online and lineage at that time......I was skipping classes and i went into a net cafe and there were some guys playing it
It was pretty much like linage 2 but i saw the wolfes and the other pets so i gave it a try

I was looking for a good mmo to play. After browsing around looking for one, I came along a topic on a forum about Silkroad. It looked pretty nice to me, installed it, and got addicted

I was playing a mmo called fairyland and it was in maint and then a group of us had a msn convo while it was in maint and then munkie was talking about silkroad so juey tried it out and then he told me to try it so i downloaded it and played then matt *potato* tried it to and just basically stoped playing fl since then xD lol.

I saw it in the xfire top games list, thought it musta been good and tried it out

Yeah I played R.O.S.E aswell, but when I searched after a good mmorpg (googled it ^^) I found silkroad.

Used to play pristontale before it was p2p

well as for me

i was searching for anew MMO game in a torrent site

then i found one with so many seeders

but i found the comments says it sux and bla bla bla

then i found some1 suggest Sro

i checked the official site then i downloaded the game trailer

and as soon as i saw the trailer i downloaded the game

( the trailer is so awesome i still have it in my H.D.D )

I had stumbled upon this game a year ago or so. It looked by far the best game that was free and I had never played a MMORPG before. As for version I first played, not sure but I was on Xian and there was global talk, so guess it was after Item Mall had been around?

Hehe well got to say, boring Colleges in school are perfect for levelling up your character.

haha..my sis's boyfriend told me abt this game even though he did not try it up himself. i am playing conquer online at that moment..and tried sro. but sro is too lag at that time with only 3 servers, so i didn't play it for a long time until this yr march...

My friend and her boyfriend played it and after awhile I thought I should try it too,was a bit boring in beginning but later on I got addicted.
Played on Xian with a crappy build xD Then moved to greece when it opened.

My counter strike clan leader told me about it ironicly i pritty much quit counter strike and just played SRO

I got introduced to this game on 22/02/06 by some friends. We play all MMORPG's together, RYL2 and Xian before SRO. I Dl the game n started to play on the 23rd... Got my first char 2 Lvl 20 n then Started my second char on 08/03/2006 n been playing with him ever since...

I quit some time ago.. But will be back for Euro! FO SHO! lolz

Onrpg.com, they had a huge game list and this was on here.

this is my second mmorpg ive played, the first one was called helbreath, about 4/5 years ago, i got soo addicted to it, then it went p2p, and i quit, but before it went p2p, i was so addicted to it, id even miss school to play it (yes, very sad) so i vowed to never touch another one again...

3/4 years later..

my friend from college, he's a mmorpg freak, plays Wow/guildwars/lineage/ anything u name it. i was bored on a summer days, and he said yo check this game out, its about china trade route etc, i was like naa, bt was bored, and decided to try it, first i thought, fck this game is gay, bt i jst kept playing it to kill time during summer, and now.. am addicted again

i played this game called outwar and some guy told me to play it so i did

played on babel then quit

month or so later friends started playing it so i went back on athens and here i am.

you know NB, this is very understandable. peen and i are very qt and i can see why you would want to play a game that we play

I played ferentus a short while back, good game, abit lacking in action though :\

A 3D Modelling friend of mine suggested that I play SRO. He must have quit late feb, but I'm still going.
