To + or not to +

Hi!

I recently bought a pure white blade lvl 64 with crit 8. Wanted to safe some gold and try to +5 it myself. It worked like this:

+1, +2, +3, failure

then

+1, +2, +3, +4

So I was really lucky there. I didn't wanted to test that luck too much so I bought an astral and immortal. First try failure, stayed at +4. I thought, okay screw it. Some minutes later I thought, okay go for it. :D So bought another astral and finally got the blade to +5.

So far so good. Now the thing is that when the blade became +5 the astral didn't go away. So now it's +5 with 1 astral left. And I just don't now if I should try to +6 it or even more if the astral would still stay.

I just don't want to put too much real money into a freakin game item, you know? So what would your suggestions be, stay at +5 or try to get higher?

Thx and bye.

//Edit: All in all, to get the blade so quick to +5 was some nice piece of luck, eh? :)

lol, see how it keeps building ?

Youre gonna fail +6, then youre gonna be pissed and spend 40$ to get it back to +5.

Then youre gonna be tempted again to +6, but fail, and spend another 40$ to make +5 again. Its an evil circle, just stop at +5

Everything above that can get really expensive ;)

+5 is just nice for ISRO

never try over that if u dun wanna pisssof with the money u spent.

TSRO have +4,+7 retained value. that make sense to continue after +4.

The other thing to consider is that you have hit the magic +5. Now is when you need steady and immortal to prevent breakage if alchemy fails. Personally unless you had steady on that blade I would say no more - enjoy the +5.

You say you don't want to spend a lot of money on this game. That says keep it at +5. Use your gold to add STR to your defense equips instead, that will also give your damage a boost without risking your cash to fix any screwups.

I think adding +'s is over-rated.

You need to get up the attack %'s first! Those make a lot more of a difference than +s with a really low %.

I've seen 95% mag atk spears that are better than ~+4-5s w/ almost 0%. Once you get the % high, then racking up the +'s would be nice.

Proof please. Conventional wisdom says that 0% -> 100% is about 2.5 plusses.

Yeah, I think I will stick with +5 then. And yes, I'm a pure str fire blader. So even with +5 it should do it's work for me. :) Thanks for your statements, was just wondering if I should go for it, because the blade went quite fast to +5. But I would indeed be very angry if it would go back to +4. :D

I gonna spent some gold now on tablets to get the white and blue stats up to the top. Hopefully I'll do lucky on that, too.
