Man i quit this game for 2 months. i come back and i get a drop. My first ever sos item. It was a SOS shield lvl24.

This guy XX_MANNO_XX offers me 750k and im like ok, take it. So i exchange it with him. i see the money on my screen 750.000, i hit aproove. and then my funds only increased by 1 Farking dollars. WTF WTF. and the guy just disconnected.

All this in Athens of course, so if you see XX_MANNO_XX Farking slap him for me. i want my SOS shield back or my 750k. wtf

its your fault for not checking the second time, always always check. Never hit the second accept until it is exactly what you wanted

DUde never evarrr exchange if you want to sell an item or buy an item. Stalling is the way. Much safer.

what do you mean check the price. the dude put 750.000 and that was it, how many screens are there and how many price checking i have to do.

That are ways that in a exchange the money stays high, in case, 750k, but the actual value is 1 gold.

Dude changed the price at the last second. Dude plz plz do yourself a favour and plz stall next time. I made 2 mil from selling my sos by refusing exchanges and setting up a stall right at the DW east gate. PLz do not exchange and save us the trouble of possibly reading another thread like this. :D

....you put the item in. he puts in the gold. you hit ok. he changes the money and hits ok. you just went ahead and hit approve, without seeing if he changed the money or not. you got ripped off. its your fault for not looking before hitting approve. end of story.

^^its both their faults. That dude was a jerk and the CodeofSilence didnt do it carefully and just rushed ahead. STALL PLZ.

If it was his fault, and he got scammed the old-school way, then wouldnt his funds increase by an increment of 75? usually scammers remove a 0 or two of of the end of the price. Changing 750,000 to 75,000.. but if he only gained 1 gold, its either a new hack out or hes blind as f^&$&^#@$.

I think I got scammed like that, a guy offered to bu a wep elix off me for 270k, and I dont think my gold changed at all lol. Oh well.

SRO hacks, bots, ccfs, lag, scammers, FTW.

Use stall function instead, much safer.
And no, there are no such thing as an exchange-hack. All he can do is switch the amount of gold, and you'll have to be careful enough to see it.

i have tested this with my guildmate who said it can't be done

this is what happened

1. u or the scammer initiated trade
2. trade window shows up
3. he puts in 750K
4. u put the shield and seeing 750K, u clicked accept for the first time
5. scammer readies the 1gold then estimates IF u will be hitting ur second accept
6. scammer OK's the 1gold then a nanosecond later clicks his 1st accept while assuming u kept on clicking for YOUR 2nd accept
7. you clicked 2nd accept
8. he clicked his 2nd accept
9. he got the sos shield
10. u got 1 gold

it's 1 gold since u can't change whatever amount u put in trade to a 0 amount

Hard lesson learned. Your on Athens Message me on this forum i'll log in game when i get off of work and help you out.

If you haven't already i would read through the stickies and the first 3 or 4 pages of the forums here to try and catch up with current events since you been away. Might help against the next attemp of someone pulling a fast one on you.

Wow, I feel bad for you, but for a diff reason. That was actually one of our old guildies, but our guild did a massive sweep of people who weren't contributing enof. Manno was actually pretty cool, can't believe he turned out to be an @ss. Sry 4 your loss, lesson learned.

  ehmmmmm, i bet the scammer was a moron, turk , otoman, .... well if he didn't do some hard-hacking maneuver to change the cifer from 750k to 1 (if that was the case... then i feel sorry for u man).
but if he just changed the cifer and u didn't realise as slow.... then here comes the lovely 4 letter word:
NOOB :banghead:

How is it "his fault" ?

That thinking never makes sense, he didn't commit the scam

The scam is the scammers fault, hes the one who did it

Maybe he didnt know better or didn't know about that trick yet

And you all make it out so that cheap shit is "OK" right?

Crying "noob" - Adding insult to unjury. Jerks.
