Hi all,
I played both games and found silkroad much better. The only drawback is that in knightonline good rings develop as character develops while in silkroad you have to upgarde your stuff constatnly.

What do you think? which game is better...???
In my opinion, Silkroad.

Best,

i played KO and i liked it a lot
i made it to one of the best battle priests on my server, but quit years ago
KO has one thing i miss really much: teamplay
i had a great friend there and we made a hell of a team together.
we two often killed like 5-6 orcs together who were at least our lvl, but who didnt knew each other =)
not a bad game at all, but its getting old and is at least as corrupt as sro. well, almost

Been playing KO since sRO stopped working for me, it's pretty cool.

I played a while back also, and they're both really cool.

I played Knight Online for exactly 1 year. Stopped six months ago for SRO. I have a lvl 65 Orc Mage on Beramus Server. I stopped for the following reasons:

1. Everyone dupes gold, items, etc. (i honestly used to dupe Gold Bars easily).
2. Getting hacked is as easy as hell (i got hacked twice)
3. GM's are corrupt (who do you think hacked me?)
4. No customer service, absolutely NONE.
5. "FREE" to play (if you could ever log on). No seriously, you had to buy premium service just to be able to log into their "free" game. If you didn't have it, you had a 1 hours window during the day when they would even let you TRY to log. Otherwise, it was "sorry, premium users only...please try again later(next week).
6. Compared to SRO, took 1 year just to get to lvl 65 (6 months to get to lvl 70 with SRO for me).
7. Alchemy sucked...if you failed, there went your item. Imagine going from +1 ---> +2 and failing....BOOM...there goes your item. Kinda gay.
8. Things cost hundreds of millions of gold. For example, a lvl 64 SoS weapon on SRO might cost like 500 million gold right? Well, a high lvl weapon on Knight Online costs like 2 billion gold.

Don't get me wrong, it was a fun game in many ways:

1. very party system orientated
2. PvP kicks ass (seriously, it was fun)
3. National Point system where you earn points to donate to you clan based on fightning against the opposing nation during wars
4. PvP...i know I already mentioned this, but the PvP was very dynamic.

However, I will never go back to Knight Online. SRO has better graphics. Kinda like a VHS versus a DVD. SRO also isn't complete. We have so much to look forward to, whereas Knight Online is a done game.

well, i haven't played this Knight Online but it definatley soounds like an ok game. Might check it ut sometime when sro is being gay like yesterday, movement lag, dc's every 10 seconds etc. and the graphics maybe are not as good as sro but personally i think its the gameplay that matters most. The graphics obviousley need to be ok not just one big pixel :P But yeah sounds cool :)

Did you read what I wrote above. If you LOVE lag and DC, then Knight Online is the game for you. Hope you have fun.

I'd stay with SRO though. KO are all about the lag/dcs, but the PvP was fun :)

I never played KO, because of very bad reviews and the graphics didn't seem that good.

I liked the Upgrade system(exept for loosing your item part!)
Duping seriosly sucked.
Getting to lvl 70 after lvl 61 Sucks (the Xp you gain from monsters is halfed at lvl 61...)
On Ares one person had so much money(in the guild I was in) they couldnt hold it all so asked people to hold it for him he also had ironbow+9, RingofLife and all the other unique items

but SRO rocks so much more.
