Thanks Foilin From Avalon for using a dirty trick!

Well i was trading with 3-4 ppl doing multis stars while 2 hunters took care of the npc thiefs. We cross the ferry..i see Foilin from Avalon in his thief suit running by...and since there was no real beef/grudge between both our guilds i asked my guildies not to kill them. But i would of been fine even if he attacked us cuz we weren't in alliance...so no surprises. But he kept following us in the back..

We keep trading...enter dead ravine..and at the exit of dead ravine i see about 6-7 player thiefs waiting, and i summoned my mercs and the mercs killed the player thiefs. Next thing u know Foilin comes in from the back desuiting on a horse and got me murder lvl 2 on purpose. And his reason for doing that is because my mercs killed one his guildies (which happened to be a player thief). If you can't adapt to new updates/game, you gotta resort to cheapshots/exploits in the game is that it?

Anywayz so i drop my loot try to get to town...Fly shows up soon enough, i tried running to town with Thiefz, Foilin and Fly on my tail. Now i wondering why would Fly or mini, would be after me when i'm murder when we got no beef either...PERHAPS trying to get some sos gears off me? does the greed for sos go this far? thought ur "mission" was to scam sos from "botters", but i guess now it's just a bunch of crap?

I always thought that some of the botting guilds or such would be the first one to pull a successful murder/desuiting trick on me, and to have fly or mini chase me down when im murder status is something that i wouldn't have thought of. But i guess the thought of getting a "free ez sos piece" overwhelms everything else. GG. Btw i don't have any sos on me.

Rofl. I tried to do this to some traders yesterday.
They were smart and kept their mercs moving nonstop.

finally some drama here on SRF, it's been quiet for a couple of weeks.

comments from the Avalon side? Since there's been so much talk about trust and shit, I can understand why browntyger feel betrayed.

2. i was busy with the thiefs in front and foilin came running from the back..and he wasn't on my screen

guessing by the fact one of the Avalon guys has the nickname "Hates_Soju" and your running with them, I'd venture a guess that had something to do with it.

Im not sure of the full story of what happened last (i was only in party in town) but could it be revenge for what happened last night? I think some deranged took an avalon/shadowhawk trade run.

but that trick is dirty... if they want kill BrowNTyGeR and take revenge, WHY make him murder? if his clan robbed a Avalon Trade run, why not just rob them, its necessary make him Murder :S?

Well theres alot of dirty tricks that everyone pulls and you should expect the worst on here.He summoned the mercs and he suffered the conisequences.It all started from a multistar trade run which is a risk right there and really its no one but his own fault.not saying anything bad but if it was me i wouldnt even blame it on anyone else cos you should expect this stuff by now.they bot,ccf,pop and every other dirty trick in the book.it was a risk he took and thats the way it went down.not that big of a deal in the end i guess.

Naw, I had the mercs because I was attacked by war enemies while trading. Prior to that, one of ma nubs 1* trade got robbed because of war, and I ported there to whoop his ass

HomoLegends who took an easy 2m from me by ganking lowbies all day long, then when I log in or show up they hide in the town. And every time I went for the 64+ they'd instant return scroll back to town. Whatever

Then we had the DC problems, where trader and I DC at least 2-3 times each, and thats why everyone was dying from NPC's.

The random theives trying to hit the run (love mercs :love:

) were Ombres (I think)

Dunno if BT would, but other members of Der / iKill have alot (shrug)

What if you got robbed by a union 5x stronger than you? You gonna say "rob em back"? I think not.

Its much easier to give them status, or KD their mobs, and piss them off in exchange. You pissed me off and took my money, Im piss you off and take ur mob. LOL. Cry all ya like.

Then for whatever reason, if they murder 1 person, they start murdering everyone

Fly lose... how many %? They murdered everyone in the area one day

OKay I f I follow well, the trick is :

1. Merc are called and attack player thieves (all of them)
2. one player thief removes his suits while pursued by merc (but he is on horse => faster)
3. He's hit (and killed I guess) by Merc, while suit removed

Conclusion : The guy who summoned the Merc is getting murderer status

Correct ?

Actually, if you look through some threads Im sure you'll see where ppl are complaining about how mercs "ruin" the game. They are quite difficult to counter as they can be completely overwhelming. Your mercs were neutalized. Fly's been made murderer that way like three times now. It doesnt hurt that much for a capped char, so dont get all "princess" on me.

You might not like it and I honestly dont care of you believe it, but no one wants your gear Brown. LOL Avalon doesnt lose well, that's a fact, and gear had nothing to do with it. I know dEranged doesnt lose well either, but please, dont bother taking it to the lowest denominator. If our guild was worried about public opinion, we wouldnt do 99% of what we do.

Good job posting at Tavern and here, I suggest, if you want a coherent discussion, you keep it here, cuase I made the only post at Tavern Im going to on the subject.

Merc are new and still need balancing. However, JM has bad repuation for updating / balancing features

Glaive merc is almost worthless, does 500 a hit. Fire merc do like 2-4k a hit depending on oponents gears

Plus you get 6 (for me anyway) so 6 mercs doing 2-4k a hit, take most any player down easily

And I bought the glaive mercs to test on garment wearers, and it was a waste of gold and GP

union leaders get more mercs

i summoned some mercs when we were taking an emperor trade because they're mostly all capped farmed ccfingbotters, but the mercs completely owned the lvl70 pure str's even if they were in garms. they were doing between 2k and 4k depending on if they were using 2nd or 3rd book fire nuke on the ful str's, but there was a nuker there and they were hitting him for like 800-1k damage, which was kinda dissappointing.

uhhhh... well you can get some mercs before you upgrade damage. and get one person to opposite suit you and see what kinda damage they do to them, and then upgrade it and see if you can tell a difference

I think exploiting the stupid mercs to get the summoner murderer status is unhonorable, like the one star popping method.

On the other hand, they can be overwhelming. I think they shouldn't be able to summoned in the middle of a trade run. I think mercs should escort you from town to town. This way, the player thieves know what to deal with and utilize the NPC thieves to counter the mercs -> more balance in the game.

I thought that was strange too. I even asked ppl if someone else was playing that char, cause I have NEVER seen him act this way before. He even sent me an ingame message about it.
