Now you would think getting +4 to +5 with Astral really wouldn't be that hard? Should work at least in a couple goes maybe 5 at the most?

Well I seem to be extremely unlucky with this. I think its with shields only. I've gotten +4 to +5 first go with a weapon before.

Firstly I had a level 16+4 shield br18. I wanted to get it to +5 to look cool for a noob shield to muck around with thieving etc. I tried probably 25 times using Astral each time, and it failed every time. And yes I use lucky power.

Now, Bad luck round 2. Firstly I had a level 52+3 br18 shield, I used a critical stone on the shield, and assimilation put the block ratio down to 12. So that shield became useless. I spent alot of money on a 52+5 shield br17 with good blues. But for some reason I thought it would be fun to try and get it to +7... anyway I tried +5 to +6 and it failed so went to +4. Anyway I screenshotted this one... You can see it failed trying to go +4 to +5 10 times and I used 400silk worth of Astral trying to do it.



Is anyone else this unlucky??? I feel so ripped off.

theres lucky, and unlucky days, i learnt that the hardway with weapon elixers ~_~

Pure has failed 4 -5 about 40some times. Thats out of 45 or so..once failing 27 times in a row.

OMG...that's crazy. I will make a mental note to keep all my things at +3 unless i have the money to buy +5

I just recommend u to try one day, if it fails don't try again that day and wait till next day and try again

At least if your shield went to +5, you'd have something to show for your $40. But when you wake up Sunday morning from the bar, nothing has changed. (^_^) And how bout dinner for two at a steakhouse? Easy $70.

Some items just have shit alchemy properties. I got sick of trying to +5 my chest, so I bought a new one. 1-2-3-F-1-2-3-4-5

9 elixirs and it was done.

Now same for boots... they never go +4. Glove is promising, its gotton to 4 several times, just need that extra 'oomph'. However, I dont use astrals (cept weap)

Might replace boots. Dunno yet. And one ring - it has shit luck too.

weap worked first time for me.... 3 fails before success on my shield... yea i spread out my alchemy. one day i get it to +4 yay. next day I try for +5. doesnt work. try next day or next next day.

haven't had all that much problem with weapons and elixirs so far (watch it all change now) ^^ just problems with stones

Unlucky item.

14 astrals on a normal blade and still +4

4 astrals on a sos blade and it was +5...

0 astral but 100+ shield elixirs on a shield to make +5 (+4 only twice)

luck....

Treat it as gambling.

You still want to get +5 though right?

geez white_knight i wish I had your luck.

I tried just once more on the shield again today, and it failed again. I think i will give up and leave it as +4, i'm a bit sick of wasting real cash on this shield!
