I hear so many negative things about SRO that I thought I would ask a question of the ppl who are playing.

What makes you stay?

I stay for my guildmates. They are good friends and I look forward to talking to them everyday. They know as much about the day to day of my life than my rl friends. We have shared so many victories and defeats together, made movies, explored new places all as a tight knit group. I wouldnt be here without them. They keep me inspired to play.

Why do you?

Guild/fun messing with the viets/botters/ccfers, and because I started, I gotta finish.

You are the only person besides Fly that I know that would use that for a reason to play. LOL Fly says he will be playing years from now because he started and when he starts, he finishes.

Everytime I start talking about getting bored with the game, he drags me back.

I too, stay for friends and guildmates. And kind off the since i allready started thing, my goal is to reach 6x. After that we'll see. Whenever is se a goal, i need to get it so..

If I wasn't going to finish I would have quit at 20. Now its just farm farm farm, then make money money money for next cap. I figure they will stop expanding the game eventually, then Ill be done.

started off with playing with irl friends, but all quit, now I play cause im addicted to the game, its become a standard thign to do each day, log on etc..talk to friends in game, relax, do some grinding etc.

if it wasnt for vent, and a few people in vent

i wouldnt be playing right now.

Primarily the group activities; guild interactions, jobs and job pvp, marketplace browsing and unique hunting. But I also like the graphics, the style of the game, the visual side of things.

If it wasn't for such a great guild, I would have quit months ago when I was still known as SSwtfomgbbq.

Pure addiction lol, got hooked at lvl 1 now I have to keep playing.

Frankly, I play for the gameplay. I haven't found a community I could call my "friends" since I left EQ.

I play to remind poeple that they bot to cap and fully farmed. If you don't put them in their place they start to run their mouth and nothing is worse then a trash talking botter.

Friends, guilds, gameplay, and i just like the timeline its in. Lol everyone is so nice (well not EVERYONE but w/e) and helpful that it just makes me wanna stay. I also LOVE laughing at people who think 1 star popping is a glitch/bad thing and watching botters die is just a dream come true

The fact theres nothing better to play, friends, I like owning ppl, I like being a high lv lol, I just like the game.

Hmmm i can't vote there. I play SRO just to relieve stress from the exam. Of course now i joined a guild, i have to play to catch up with them in terms of GP points.

Then basically motivated to play to pop gold botters.

I basicly like the graphics and gameplay. And I want to reach lvl 70 (grinding pretty hard to reach it).

Becuse I'm an mmo addict! I can't stop... I'll never stop... when the game ends and the servers are shutdown for the last time... I will need some serious theropy!

nah... just messing around... I wouldn't be here if it were not for the friends I have here.

Voted for gameplay, that's the reason why I do play or don't play.
I'm not in a guild, don't do pvp, let's just say I'm not a teamplayer.

However, I play the the other online games Star Wars: Jedi Academy and Guildwars, for the clan/guilds. I'm a co-leader in JKA and a Guildleader in GW, so I have to show up more than when I'm playing alone anyways, besides that it's just way more fun to hang around with the clan/guildmates

I'm kind of a psycho here, once I do something or spend time on something, I go full throttle.

I play so that I can get to LVX, be the best and then sell my account or something ~~

Guild, friends, PVP.

That are reasons why i play SRO.

basicly emotions make me log in everyday

getting the uber big wolf and that moon glavie! oh yeah and cant forget poaching those monsters. but i dont play anymore.

I don't know why everyone complains so much.

Some people complain so much, they should just QUIT.

I like doing jobs
I somewhat like farming (depending on the day...)
I like war
I like alchemy
I don't lag ingame
I don't have problems connecting most times

Yeah sure bots and ccf sux. But Im 70 and I didnt bot. For some reason most people complaining about bot are like 4x anyway. Once your up there it wont bother you so much. Theres only a few 'godlike' people out there that can't be killed anyway.

Im not rich, I only have 10m but I have alot of nice things and half my gear is +5 already. And yeah I lost 5m on alchemy last night for nothing, but eventually another item will go +5 on first try. It all balances out. Somtimes you have a ban run you might wanna come here and post look for a little sympathy; thats all good, right?

My union has so many cool people, theres been days on vent when I thought I was going to DIE from laughter; like when Foilin told that kid logging 5 times will get him godmode; and I watched his char fade in and out over and over. Good lord. A lot of people say a lot of shit about it that just doesnt matter or impact my life in anyway

Its been what... 9 months? And I still cant wait to get out of the office so I can play =)

A vew friends dragged me into it, when we both quited another mmo (rose online). They quit at 4x, but I just couldn't get it over my heart to quit to ^^. I actually have the same reasons as Ryoko:

I like doing jobs
I somewhat like farming (depending on the day...)
I like war
I like alchemy
I don't lag ingame
I don't have problems connecting most times

Aside from that ofcourse new ingame friends etc.


Shortened up I really like the game for what it is

i liked thiefing and trade runs(when i got to 5x). what really made my day was when people came up to me saying, " excuse me sir, i dont want to fight but could i have.......... YOU, THIEFS SUCK, GO TO HELL'
