ok...i've been thinking lately about people that got hacked and how they are probably stuck with some first degree armour and no money for potions or anything....
most people wouldn't be ready to hand over some money to help a person get back on his/her feet....
so i think that a whole bunch of people should do a trade run from jangan to hotan in a big group(of 1*s), and give at least half the earnings to the person that got hacked... i think its kinda fair, ya know... i hope people would be ready to do this, because irs only helping out sum1 in need...

my only worries is that this will be easily manipulated with people SAYING they got hacked in order to just get some major cash prize in like an hour without doing anything....

so... who agrees with me?

I'm not with you - Why? - Because, imo most of the hacked ppl got hacked because of their own fault - i mean, they either gave their ID/PW away, or got a keylogger. Besides, it's ****ing easy to make money in SilkRoad

I voted that they had it coming. In all the years I play internet games now I'm not hacked, not one time. I stay off the cheat/hack/scam/spam/stuff list.

Besides, you people should look up the word hacked:

To use one's skill in computer programming to gain illegal or unauthorized access to a file or network: hacked into the company's intranet.

People giving away their passwords to gain silk or expierenc; the correct word is stupid.

i though ppl would look at this differently....
(oh and just for the record, im one of the ppl that got hacked, so im not trying to use this to take advantage of anyone! but i believe we should help the hacked ppl)

The 2 above posters have no idea what the hell they are talking about. There are plenty of 100% legit, non silk buying, non acount sharing, non keylogged computer who have been hacked (myslef included).

And yes I feel sorry for them as I know how it feels.

fine... a person made a mistake...went on a keylogger and bla bla bla....
but wat if a person never did do any of that shyt? just consider this... if today u are saying that they had it coming, and tomorow u got hacked...
would u take it all back?

and besides...wen i said a that we should do trade runs i was thinking that not all the money goes to the ppl that got hacked coz that is kinda unfair, but at least sum of it....

honestly, i want to help them out... but i cant do it on my own...
unfortunately ppl are more concentrated on their pockets rather than others... honestly, i have met 5 people MAXIMUM in sro that wer ever willing to giv up sum money to a friend...

It of course depends on the person hacked. I would feel a lot more pity for a level 42 who got there legit than for someone who botted to level 70.

My guild member got hacked and he was 100% legit. Of course, we helped him out and now is better off than before. If it was someone who downloaded a bot or something. I would go murder him myself.

What is a keylogger? And how can you get hacked?

A keylogger logs every key pressed and sends it to a certain computer, thus giving thme your ID/PW.

LMAO have u sever seen a 62+ all of a sudden with nothing? its one of the funniest things ever.

Hacked people tend to start up a new account, they wouldn't risk using their hacked account for security reasons, even if they're password is changed.

But if they do continue... They could build up gold quite quickly depending on their money, skills and level, for example, they could be punching mobs, and then earn enough money to buy a weapon to kill faster and get more money, and it keeps on going.

This is what i think WHY people get hacked

1. Got keylogged
2. Share account
3. Accidentally gave out their personal information when talking
4. Easy to guess password/secret question
5. The stupid Joymax showed the ID of everyone (Last time)
6. Someone see your password

These 6 should cover the whole 99% people who got hacked. The 1% is unlucky ones who got hacked even if they have taken these precautions:

1. Has set a strong password.
2. Never visit any bot/hack website
3. Regularly scan their computer EVERYDAY
4. Never even reveal your personal info

Why? They are just unlucky. The bruteforce password somehow managed to get the password with the correct ID and poof....they are gone

So i voted for a no.
