This is sort of like that "Do you bot" thread. If you want to keep your name anonymous, go ahead. I just want to see how the general SRO public feels about gold-buying. From what I've seen in my experiences, most people think of it as the 'lesser of three evils'.

no, i have yet to buy any gold, i seem to make enough just buying selling and selling alchemy stones / drops... but i cant say i havent thought about it ^^ hehe.

If I bought gold I'd probably jump off the roof of my house.
And probably live.

I'll admit, sometimes I see people with all that shit they get from ccf and botting, and am tempted to buy gold. IMO though, I might as well call myself a botter then, because it isn't something I got myself then.

very good point... buying gold from a botter is pretty close to being a botter yourself

I just met somebody yesterday in a cancelled transaction who said he did buy gold with real muhlah. apparently there are some big dependable sites that aren't scams.

When I shared my account someone bought 100mill for me, and 500 silk, and no he wasn't CCFing.

WTS 3million gold on ALPS!!!!!! seriously only people who can complain in this thread are people near the cap. a lvl 1 buying gold is different from a lvl 70 buying gold.

Nope, I don't buy gold. I prefer to earn gold by myself.

But then again, I never bought silk (because my parents won't let ).

I don't buy it but I don't really see a problem with it. As someone else said before, if you buy silk, whats the difference. Yes you could say you support bots but lets be realistic; even if you don't buy it they are still gonna bot because someone else will.

I don't like spending real money for virtual items. But after I got attracted to this game and joymax make me spent $30 so far in their item mall...I don't give a damn anymore about RMT in this game. And yeah what Cruelty said...if you buy silks, what's the difference?

I have not bought gold for this game, so I voted No. But I will admit to buying gold for another game. The circumstances were much different, and I do regret what I did. It made the game much less challenging because I could just buy everything I needed. This game has proven more of a challenge, and I'll keep it that way (Besides silk ).

No, i haven't, my friend did though, he bought a wolf, put it on a other character, then the main character got banned. Boom.

buying gold is lame. I'd rather be poor than support the gold bots. Finding gear and earning the money to buy and upgrade it makes it fun.

I disagree; I don't like the idea that your chances in the game would depend on how rich you are IRL. I know gold/items aren't everything in this game, but they sure help.

I vote no, as others said, it just supports the gold botters. I think you will have more sense of achievement by having to budget and buy gear you can afford and bling it up yourself.
