I would say go for it. You are not the king of alchemy for nothing. And since there are so many +7 weapons, another glow will give you your prestige back!

I say go for it. You have managed to +7 several weapons and it would be nice to see a +9 on Troy. Or wait until more SRO updates are implemented... AFAIK, kSRO has something that keeps the + at +7 if it fails trying for +8 and higher (like Astral for going more than +4). I have no idea how long it will take for iSRO to get that feature (maybe around the same time those who bought silk for ingame gold and got their account banned will be allowed to play again).

I say no, imagine how bad you would feel if it fails? Spending SO much more money putting steady, immortal, astral and buying more weapon elixirs IF it does go to +7 again....

+5 in one try is possible, so be sure you get at least 100 or more weap elixers and shitloads of real money to finance the astral and immortal.

it will be a costly project so in the end it's your decision wether to +9 or keep it as it is now. be sure to remember that the cap will be raised in the coming months, will you play it safe at +7 till the cap raises thus not overspend your real money or will you play for the grand prize of a +9 weap making you one of the strongest chars till the capraise and gain legendary status?

if you have the finance and guts go for it

I know a CCFer that spent around 1500 USD of astrals, and still couldn't +9. He got to +8 two times. And he also had a character with good alchemy luck.

There was a +9 level 64 Glaive on Oasis. But I believe they tried to +11 it and in the end NPCed it.

As for me, i'll keep trying for +7. I have no idea how you assholes are ALL getting +7. I've spent massive amounts of elixirs and USD trying to. I think they rigged my character because they know i'll keep buying more silk for astral. You need to come into Oasis and help me.

got 8 weapno elixir drops in two grind sessions. figured it was the game's way of telling me to go for +7. 500 silk and 28 elixirs later, it's still +5. i vote a HUGE no on this one.

All depend on the item!

If the item can 1-5 on the first try then surely it can go 5-9 as well with effort.

If you struggled to get +5 then it will probobly never +9.

But if you struggled on +7, had a few failures and used a lot of elixirs, MAYBE +9

Its the stubborn people thinking 'juz bad luck' that come and post 'I wasted 40m!!!!'

listen to suicidegrl... dont do it my glavie 64 is now +7 for the 3rd time i never NEVER reached +8 .. besides new 72 weapon is comming so dont waste ur 60 mil worth spear..

this is my advise ull get preety sad when u see it fails after u get +7
after 2nd failure i stoped playng for few days almost got a depression
